Bell @ the Chatham Railroad Museum
Bill Shannon: Another one of the interesting displays in the museum I think is the big bell here. This gentleman and his wife lived over in Taylorville. He worked for the railroad for years and when they were scrapping the old steam engines he wanted one of the bells and, particularly, bell number 652 from that engine. He was in the Navy during World War II and served on PT Boat 652. So he spoke with the people scrapping the engine and he managed to get that bell which he can see right there on this picture. That little bell right there is actually the big bell we have in front of me! People like to ring it, especially kids. When they are 8 or 10 years old or so on up they love it. Little kids always cover their ears. Actually it is rather loud. I'll give you a demonstration. [rings bell]

Chatham Dockyard Model Railway & Trains 2012
Chatham and District Model Railway event 2012. Many clubs and individuals displayed their wonderful layouts in a variety of scales such as 0, 00 and N guage. One of them even came over from France (the helicopter layout).
It was nice to see the different styles. I have captured as many as I could here, and then added sounds effects of real trains, and other noises.
For me the humourous ones were among the best, such as the one I feature first. But I also liked the dockyard, and the rolling hill layouts.
A fun day out. Internet search 'Calvertfilm'.

CN Chatham Local has the usual historic power, GP9 CN 7270 working the train at Hiram Walker in Windsor, ON. 5722 Chatham to Windsor
5722 cab ride from Chatham to Windsor
Before we approached the bloomfield crossing 5722 recieved a call that via 6431 was hot on our tail and we had to make the siding in Stony Point before 6431 caught up to us. You can fast forward the video to 0:09:10 to watch us pull into the siding and see Via 6431 go screaming by (which I shot out the Engineer's window) and almost lost my camera in the process........Enjoy
