Anna Ruby Falls are found in Unicoi State Park in the Chattahoochee National Forest in Helen Georgia, USA.
You take a simple, paved trail about half a mile) from the visitor center to the falls. There is a bit of incline walking to the falls, but the hike in is well worth it. There are some beautiful streams most of the way coming from the water falls.
Be sure to stay on the path are there are snakes in the area, including the rattle snake. There are two calls, the 153 foot Curtis Falls and the 50 foot York Creek Falls. The shorter falls are much more apparent as the taller waterfall is high and semi-hidden.

Trout Fishing Georgia's Chattahoochee River
North Georgia's Chattahoochee River provides some of the best trout fishing in the Southeast. Stocked weekly with rainbow trout from March through the 4th of July by the Georgia DNR the river flows through the town of Helen and provides excellent trout fishing and plenty of public access. Armed with Pautzke Pink Shrimp salmon eggs and Fire Bait we spent a quick hour and a half filming Pautzke Outdoors. Having the right bait proved to be the recipe for success. Even having never fished the area prior we caught trout instantly.

Sky Lake Community Sautee Nacoochee

Driving Porsche 356 Thru Helen, GA
Helen is a city in White County, Georgia, United States, located along the Chattahoochee River. Tourism is a key economic activity in Helen, catering mostly to weekend visitors from the Atlanta area and also motorcyclists who enjoy riding the roads in Helen and its surrounding areas.Helen can be crowded in late October, when autumn leaves typically peak. It also hosts its own Oktoberfest during September, October and November. Events and festivals are held throughout the year, including the Southern Worthersee, which is a stateside Volkswagen and Audi event that pays tribute to the Worthersee Tour in Austria. An annual hot-air balloon race is also held here on the first weekend in June.
The main road through town is north/south Georgia 75. The Helen stream gauge (HDCG1) is located on its bridge over the Chattahoochee in the middle of downtown. A parallel route to the west is labeled Georgia 75 Alt to identify it as a bypass route around the town and its traffic jams in the autumn and on some weekends.
Unicoi State Park and Lodge, spanning 1,050 acres (420 ha), is located immediately northeast of Helen on Georgia 356. The park encompasses Unicoi Lake, a 53-acre (21 ha) freshwater lake, offering outdoor activities for all seasons. Among these are a swimming beach, trout streams, wheelchair-accessible fishing docks, seasonal canoe, kayak and paddle boat rentals, seven picnic shelters with charcoal grills, three playgrounds for children, spots for birding, 7.5 miles (12.1 km) of hiking within the park (with adjacent trails in the Chattahoochee National Forest), 8 miles (13 km) of mountain biking trails within the park, and a number of places to enjoy the natural environment of the lake and park. Unicoi State Park also offers lodging in several forms. Access to Anna Ruby Falls, part of the Chattahoochee National Forest, is through the park.
In 1975, DOCUMERICA photographer Al Stephenson documented the life, recreation, and economy of the Helen area before and during the construction of Alpine Helen.

In May of 2019, the Hallmark Channel filmed a TV movie Helen of Helen in Helen. The movie is a Christmas-themed film, but its air date is unknown at this time.

Yonah Mountain Campground Tour | 2017 | Georgia | USA
Yonah Mountain Campground is classified as an RV resort according to their website, but we had a great time with our tent! In this video we are taking a tour of the campground.
They have centrally located washrooms with lots of hot water - and they were never busy. The tenting sites are located beside a nice stream in an open field area (close to the swimming pool).
There were not too many people around during our stay which was nice. This location had a lot of things to offer including wifi in the club house. The wifi was actually very good! Within the club house they had a nice lounge area with free cable. Lots of chairs and tables to use, water fountain and children's play area. Easily the best equipped campground I have been too - we actually stayed an extra day we liked it so much!
Outside they had a great play area with basketballs nets and free basketballs to use. The pool was well maintained. They had a nice swing and fireplace area at the front of the property and games such as washer toss and shuffle board. During the summer they have lots of camp activities!
The camp store is great and the staff was awesome. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Helen is a city in White County, Georgia, United States, along the Chattahoochee River. The population was 430 at the 2000 census
Formerly a logging town that was in decline, the city resurrected itself by becoming a replica of a Bavarian alpine town, in the Appalachians instead of the Alps. National Civil War Naval Museum in Columbus Georgia
National Civil War Naval Museum
The National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus, located in Columbus, Georgia is a fantastic place to visit if you are a history buff, like me. This 40,000-square-foot facility features two original Civil War military naval vessels, uniforms, equipment and weapons used by the United States Navy and the Confederate States Navy forces.
The highlight of the museum is the 180-foot hull of C.S.S. Jackson (also known as C.S.S. Muscogee), a revolutionary developed ironclad warship ram put to fire in the Chattahoochee River by the Union Army troops of Gen. James H. Wilson and recovered from the muddy bed of the river in the 1960s. Also, on display are what's left of C.S.S. Chattahoochee and an intact rowboat from U.S.S. Hartford, famed flagship of Federal Admiral David Farragut at the naval Battle of Mobile Bay in 1864.
Two models of the warships U.S.S. Monitor and C.S.S Virginia (the former U.S.S. Merrimack steam frigate under construction at Gosport Navy Yard near Norfolk, Virginia, captured after scuttling April 1861 with the naval facilities), used in the TNT cable TV channel's 1991 film Ironclads, and recreated full-scale sections of three other War Between the States-era warships are among the hundreds of Civil War artifacts located in the museum (including sections of U.S. Navy Admiral David Farragut's U.S.S. Hartford including the berth deck, wardroom and captain's cabin).
