Police say a man was attacked and robbed by six black men at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
43-year-old Roger Warn told authorities he was hit and fell to the ground, where the suspects emptied his pockets and stole his wallet.
Officers chased one of the suspects on foot, but he was able to get away.

Three former Tennessee Temple University employees are suing the school for racial discrimination.
Emmanuel Awotula, Dennis Clark, and Jeffrey Davis all claim that university officials denied them promotions and pay raises because they’re black.
The lawsuit says Davis lost his job after he called his boss by his first name.
But president Steve Echols says the university is careful not to discriminate in any way.
Now the group is asking for lost pay, back pay and benefits. They also want damages for alleged humiliation, embarrassment and distress.
The lawsuit doesn’t request a specific payment, but leaves it to a jury - to decide.

Chattanooga’s biggest accounting firm, Decosimo, is merging with South Carolina-based Elliott Davis.
Executives met Wednesday at the Chattanooga Convention Center to sign paperwork.
The move will create the fifth biggest accounting firm in the Southeast.
Starting January 1st, the combined firm will have more than 800 employees.
The company will be known as Elliott Davis Decosimo, and be headquartered - in Greenville.

A downtown Chattanooga apartment complex has been sold for about $15 million dollars.
It’s reportedly the most ever paid per unit for such a property in Chattanooga.
The 100-unit Walnut Commons opened last year after $11 million dollars in construction.
It was the largest apartment complex to go up downtown in more than a generation.
Walnut Commons is being purchased by America First Real Estate - which is based in Nebraska.

A Hamilton County principal has been named Tennessee’s Principal of the Year.
The state tapped Ronald Hughes for the honor.
Hughes has been in education for 30 years. And he’s served as principal at Apison Elementary School for more than a decade.
He was selected from among nine finalists - by the Tennessee Department of Education.

A man has been charged with stealing from rental storage units in Bradley County.
And where did he stash the loot? Well, In his own rental unit, of course.
The sheriff’s office says a large number of items were recovered, including pieces of mid-century furniture valued at more than $10,000 dollars.
They also found a stolen Ford truck and a Honda motorcycle.
44-year-old Gary Eli Gibson has been jailed on charges of burglary - and drug possession.

A new poll shows just how close the vote on Tennessee’s Amendment 1 is going to be.
39 percent of voters support the proposed amendment, which would allow more restrictions on abortion.
32 percent are opposed.
Meanwhile 15 percent of voters are undecided, and 8 percent aren’t voting at all.
The poll is the first look at where Tennessee stands on Amendment 1, even though many say the results - are “too close to call.”

A new golf course in Marion County is being called one of the best nine-hole courses in the country.
The former Sequatchie Valley Golf Course has been redesigned and transformed into Sweetens Cove Golf Club.
One expert calls it the best nine-hole course built in the last 40 years.
And Golf Digest editor Ron Whitten says Sweetens Cove may soon challenge the Dunes Club - for the Number 1 ranking.
