General Khoti :-The story of 1857, India's first war of independence, would be told anew with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) shifting the 1857 memorial museum from the Residency to the General Kothi soon.
The paperwork is over and shifting would begin in May. The museum at Residency, set up in 2003, evolved from a collection of articles and artifacts excavated from the premises. Additional material such as drawings, photographs and lithographs, was also placed to add value to the visitor's experience. There are 10 galleries displaying different items related to the war of 1857.
Chattar Manzil :- It was constructed by order of Nawab Ghazi Uddin Haider and completed after his death by his successor, Nawab Nasir Uddin Haider.[2][3][4]
The Chattar Manzil stand on the banks of the River Gomti. The Chattar Manzil consisted of a Bari (larger) Chattar Manzil and Chhoti (smaller) Chattar Manzil, however only the larger one still exists. These two buildings were examples of the Indo-European-Nawabi architectural style, even though the Bari Chattar Manzil has been altered over the years. The palaces were named after the chattris (umbrella-shaped domes) on the octagonal pavilions, which crown the buildings.[5] The imposing building has large underground rooms and a dome surmounted by a gilt umbrella.
SAADAT ALI TOMB :- Before it came in the present from the same place was the part of grand palace where in Ghazi -ud-Din Haider used to reside, which was built by Saadat Ali khan was laid to rest. where his son Ghazi -ud-Din Haider used to dwell. Later this residence turned into the present day tomb .which was denoted as Kaiser Bagh by the royal family .

छतरमंजिल में उत्खनन के दौरान मिली 220 साल पुरानी गंडोला नाव

लखनऊ। अवध में नवाबी दौर की याद दिलाती ऐतिहासिक छतर मंजिल में खुदाई के दौरान उत्खननकर्ताओं को करीब 220 साल पुरानी नाव मिली है। इस गंडोला (सपाट तल वाली) नाव की लम्बाई 42 फुट और चौड़ाई 11 फुट है। ऐसा माना जा रहा है कि इस विशालकाय नाव को अवध की बेगमों के लिए बनवाया गया था जिसमें बैठकर वह नौका विहार करती रही होंगी। पुरातत्व विभाग के अधिकारियों का मानना है कि यह शाही नाव भी हो सकती है, लेकिन अभी इस बारे में निश्चित रूप से कुछ नहीं कहा जा सकता। विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार यह खोज काफी महत्वपूर्ण है।
बता दें कि आजादी के बाद फरहत बख्स और छतर मंजिल को केंद्रीय औषधि अनुसंधान संस्थान (सीडीआरआई) को दे दिया गया था जिसमें आज भी संस्थान का कार्यालय चल रहा है। लेकिन बीते कुछ वर्षों में इस ऐतिहासिक इमारत को काफी नुकसान हुआ है। जिसके चलते अब इसे संरक्षित करने और पुनर्निर्माण के लिए उत्खनन किया जा रहा है। अभी तक छतरमंजिल में 19.5 फुट तक खुदाई का काम हो चुका है। इस दौरान गंडोला नाव के अतिरिक्त खुदाई के दौरान नीचे पूरी एक मंजिल मिली है जिसमें हवेलीनुमा भवन, अंदर जाने के लिए सुरंग, रानियों के लिए नहाने का स्थान, आरामगाह आदि निर्माण मिले हैं। हाल ही में उत्खननकर्ताओं ने छतरमंजिल के पिछले हिस्से की खुदाई शुरू की है जो गोमती नदी काफी करीब है। इसी दौरान खुदाई करने वालों को लकड़ी की एक ठोस वस्तु दबी दिखाई दी। विशेषज्ञों ने पहले तो इसे लकड.ी की बीम समझा लेकिन जब कीचड. हटाकर देखा गया तो वहां एक विशालकाय गंडोला नाव दबी मिली। इस नाव की बनावट से पता चलता है कि इसका प्रयोग नौपरिवहन में किया जाता रहा होगा। अभी इस बात पर से भी पर्दा नहीं उठ पाया है कि यह नाव जमीन में किन हालातों में दफन हुई होगी।

कभी नवाबों की आरामगाह तो कभी क्रांति की रणनीति का केंद्र रही छतर मंजिल के इतिहास की कई परतें दिन-ब-दिन खुलती जा रही हैं. अब इस इमारत के नीचे एक और इमारत होने की पुष्टी हो रही है. लखनऊ में छतर मंजिल के पास गोमती की तरफ का जमीन का एक हिस्सा अचानक बारिश से धंस गया. जब इसके मलबे को हटाने का काम शुरू हुआ तो इस इमारत के नीचे एक और इमारत निकली है. जो लोगों के लिए कौतुहल का विषय बनी हुई है. हालांकि, अभी तक 30 फिट खुदाई हो गई है. और आगे की खुदाई से ही साफ होगा कि जमीन के नीचे क्या राज दफन है.

The Bara Imambara was built in the year 1784 by the fourth Nawab of Awadh known as Asaf-ud-Daula. It was built as a part of a relief project for a major famine that took place in the year 1784.

The Hussainabad Imambara is a major tourist attraction of Lucknow. The monument was built by Mohammed Ali Shah in the year 1837.
