Horse Back Riding to Che Chem Ha Cave In Cayo District, Belize
Jose was a great guide on the horse back ride to Che Chem Ha Cave
Belize 4 - Che Chem Ha Cave
William discovered the cave in 1989 while hunting a gibnut (agouti paca) with his dogs. He shares with us his knowledge and enthusiasm for the land, its natural history, and its Mayan history. The hike to the cave is as interesting as exploring the Mayan Cave itself.

Che Chem Ha Waterfall in Cayo, Belize - powerful, beautiful, refreshing! It's right next to an ancient Maya cave. Great place to visit!
Belize - Che Chem Ha Waterfall and Cave
Che Chem Ha waterfall and cave are must see's if you are traveling through Belize. The cave contains tons of huge pottery vessels which are about 2,000 years old, which were used by the Maya for ceremonies and water collection, plus a huge room at the end with a stela used for sacred ceremonies. The cave was lay undisturbed since the time of the Maya until it was rediscovered in 1989 by the owner of the property who will give you a tour himself.
Chechem Ha Cave - Belize 2016
Aktun Chechem Ha or Vaca Falls Cave was discovered in 1989 by William Plytez who guides us through the jungle and portal to Xibalba. The Chechem Ha cave contains plenty of Maya artifacts and a few cave modifications as: stela, steambatch or shark teeth carvings. The cave is maybe not easy accessible but definitely worth of visiting.
Chechem Ha Cave in Belize
This was right outside the cave....Chechem Ha Cave was used by the Maya as a storehouse for grain as well as a ceremonial centre for their after-life, blood letting rituals.

GHOST HUNTING IN ACTUN TUNICHIL MUKNAL!
Actun Tunichil Muknal, also known as Xibalba, is located near the San Ignacio district of Belize. It was used by ancient Mayans for sacrifices. In the cave there are several skeletons, ceramics and stoneware. The cave is about 3 miles long but tourists only get to see a third of it. Archaeologists have access to the rest. The cave's upper passage called The Cathedral (which you see in this video) is located about 1/3 of the way in.
This truly was the coolest thing I've ever done. I'd love to go back and explore it again! I went with a tour group called Pacz tours. They were great and I'd definitely recommend them!
