Chelungpu Park is located across from the ZhuShan ramp of Formosa Freeway. As implied by its name, Chelungpu Fault Preservation Park is built for preserving the surface rupture of Chelungpu Fault caused by 1999 Jiji Earthquake. Featuring the spectacular surface faulting with vertical displacements, the Park consists of two main parts: the Geological Science Hall and the Fault Preservation Hall. The former mainly introduces Taiwan's geological features through films, photographs, illustrations, interactive screens and exhibits, while the latter, an eggshell-shaped building, displays the original shape of the fault caused by the Jiji Earthquake (921 earthquake).

The Dong Mountain (Dongshan) River is only 24 kilometers long, but it is the fifth-longest stream in Yilan. A multi-purpose riverside recreation area has been planned along its course to provide for sports, leisure, and recreation activities divided into upstream, midstream, and downstream sections, each of which exhibits a different recreational character into what, it is hoped, will make the river into an outdoor water park. The most important recreational site on the river is the Dong Mountain (Dongshan) River Water Park, which has been designed to rebuild the natural relationship between man and water. This park simulates the natural landscapes and incorporates elements of the native culture of Lanyang--for example, there is a water stage, five conical stone towers built of pebbles, and Turtle Island, which rises from the sea off the Yilan coast, bring the landmark of Lanyang into the park, seemingly without thought. The banks of the Dong Mountain (Dongshan) River are claimed by legend to be protected by a green dragon and a yellow dragon, and for this reason undulations and curves are built of pebbles along the river's banks to simulate dragons' scales, with pottery tile inlays of green and blue, and orange and yellow, adding to the characters of the two different types of dragon. Interesting mosaic pictures--masterpieces executed by the children of Lanyang--embellish the dragon-skin steps. Today, the annual Dragon Boat races, international scholastic rowing championships, and international toy festival are all held in the Dong Mountain (Dongshan) River Park. For the Qixi Chinese Lovers' Day, and magpie bridge (by which, according to Chinese traditional, two legendary lovers are allowed to meet once a year) is built to add to the park's romantic atmosphere. Over the past few years, the Dong Mountain (Dongshan) River Water Park has become one of the hottest tourist destinations in Taiwan.

Zinangong (紫南宮) is a famous temple for lending money to its believers for up to NT$600. After one year, believers are supposed to come back to return the borrowed money (believers often return with interest as extra thanks to the Land god). The max. NT$600 may be saved or used to purchase something relating to your trade as either of these two actions are supposed to help facilitate the lucky flow of wealth around you.

Jiji weir has become the water resources management center of Zhuoshui River. Its purpose is stabilizing irrigational water resources, allocating water resources effectively and providing industrial water for Yunlin Off-Shore basic industrial district.

自製桂竹巢穴 七星潭烏賊復育有成 20120711
利用麻繩將一根根的桂竹綁在一起，潛水員再將竹子綁在海底定置魚場的石頭上，因為這樣的遮蔽空間，除了可以讓吸引小魚前往駐足之外，更可以吸引烏賊讓它們在這裡築巢。
這項烏賊復育計畫，完全是花蓮一群潛水員自發性的活動，因為有感近年來近海漁業資源枯竭，於是開始仿造幾年前瑞芳鼻頭國小，曾經利用竹子來復育烏賊的計畫。
而從今年四月份開始，這項復育計畫已陸續從花蓮南區的石梯坪，開始往北區七星潭施放，目前已經發現少部分的烏賊出現，讓保育人士相當開心。但是復育烏賊的成效，還是遠遠比不上人類對自然的傷害，保育人士呼籲政府、民間一起正視，要是再不好好保育，未來消失的，將不是只有烏賊而已。

Lugu is a beautiful township located in the southwest of Nantou County. Due to its diverse landforms and mild climate, Lugu has a relatively rich natural and tourism resources. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery and mountainous landscape, Lugu practically becomes one of the well-received tourist destinations. The township is also close to a considerable number of famous scenic spots, including Sitou Forest Amusement Park, Siaobantian, National Fonghuanggu Bird Park, NTU Tea Garden, Kilin Lake and more.
In addition to these unique elements, the Lugu Township Office has cultivated a large number of cherry tree varieties in recent years. During the flowering season of cherry trees, the entire hilltop is covered with pinkish-red cherry blossom and the air is filled with the nose-pleasing fragrance.
If travelers would like to appreciate the delicacy of cherry blossom, there are several ideal locations for viewing flower, such as Siaobantian Stone Horse Park, NTU Tea Garden, Siaobantian Community, Heya Village, etc.
In the meantime, Lugu is also famous for its diversity of agricultural products, including tea, coffee beans, bamboo shoots, tea plum, mountain celery, Zuoshui rice and so on. Among that, Dongdong Oolong Tea and winter bamboo shoots are two most characteristic locally sourced agricultural products.
