The Chenrezig Institute - Buddhist Centre - Queensland, Australia
Chenrezig Institute is a Buddhist Centre for meditation, retreat and study. Established in 1974, it was one of the first such centres in the western world. Located in lush green hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Queensland Australia. Chenrezig Institute is affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT). The organisation is based on the Buddhist tradition of Lama Tsongkhapa of Tibet as taught by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, our founder Lama Thubten Yeshe and spiritual director Lama Zopa Rinpoche. This documentary covers the history, before and after the centres founding in 1974.
