【4K】어린이대공원 Children's Grand Park Walk in Seoul ????????
The Seoul Grand Park(어린이 대공원) is the first and largest theme park in Korea with a zoo and a botanical garden. It's located at the foot of Cheonggye mountain in the city of Gwacheon. In 1984, the park was opened after all the animals were transferred from the Changgyeong Palace. Along with the main attraction, Seoul Zoo, there's also a rose garden, children's zoo, Seoul Land (a theme park), and the National Museum of Contemporary Art with a large lake in the middle of everything.
The history of the Seoul Grand Park goes back more than a hundred years when Korea was under Japanese rule. In 1909, the Japanese dug up the the historic Changgyeong Palace and built a zoo on the site. The name of the palace was downgraded to 'Changgyeong Park'. Even after the liberation of the Changgyeong Palace, it was still used as a zoo until 1980. In 1980, the palace was restored to its original state and the animals were transferred to the Seoul Zoo at Seoul Grand Park. The Seoul Grand Park Zoo opened in 2009 for its 100th anniversary. The name was changed to Seoul Zoo. They transformed the zoo into a place where animals and visitors can have an enjoyable experience.
The botanical garden is the largest in Korea. Tropical plants, a cactus garden, orchids, and other plants are in the greenhouse and over 250 kinds of plants native to Korea are in the outdoor garden. The species exhibition room has the plants organized by type. Visitors can walk down the 7.4km long forest path around the zoo and freely enjoy the aroma of nature. The mountain forest exhibition that is near the zoo entrance exhibits trees, grass, insects, mushrooms, and birds in all shapes and sizes.
At the opposite side of the Seoul Zoo entrance, there's a theme garden which contains the rose garden and children's zoo. At the children's zoo, visitors can get close to sheep, rabbits, black goats, ponies, squirrels, parrots, and other animals.

Hiking and Trekking in South Korea: Cheonggyesan
First we hike, then we dine! Hiking the mountains in South Korea is always a unique experience. It is much different than other hikes I've been on in America and every hike is always different. This mountain is called Cheonggyesan and is a HUGE mountain with several entrances. This is more like trekking in Korea, but it's still fun! Koreans love to eat fresh veggies with meat and drink mokkogli or soju after (both are Korean rice alcohols). Check out our climb to the top and our feast after!

Walking around the secret palace│Seoul in Korea│4K 60fps POV
Deoksu Palace is a place with subtle charm. Walking through the Palace of the Joseon Dynasty a few hundred years old, you can see the high skyline of the city center together. It resembles that of Seoul, where the past and present coexist harmoniously. I tried to visit Deoksu Palace today with a lunch break. I hope that the people of Seoul city will be able to vividly communicate how they enjoy Deoksu Palace. :)

This is a project that aims to renew the 'Where I Live', which has become a boring routine and has lost much inspiration.
It would be a VLOG to someone.
It would be a short story or essay to someone.
It would be a REAL Korean Travel Guide to someone.
Whatever,
I hope that the thoughts and perspective of one person living in Seoul will be fully conveyed.
Children's Museum South Korea
On this Vlog:
The Children's museum is inside the National museum of Korea and it is in walking distance from our home and we absolutely love it. The museum holds different exhibits that change every three months and we have gone to a couple (vlog coming soon). The National museum of Korea is enormous we haven't finished it and we have gone about four times. The twins love to go and walk the museum they know they must whisper, and it is something neat to do in the hot summer days since it is nice and cool inside. The children's museum has plenty of indoor and outdoor activities and best of all it is absolutely free. There are restaurants to eat inside and it also has a very neat library inside. It show cases the entire Korean history, culture, and art. Did you know it is the ninth largest art museum in the world. It is absolutely beautiful and it is a must visit in Seoul.

Seoul (, like soul; Korean: 서울 [sʌ.ul] (listen); lit. Capital), officially the Seoul Special City, is the capital and largest metropolis of South Korea. With surrounding Incheon metropolis and Gyeonggi province, Seoul forms the heart of the Seoul Capital Area.
Strategically situated along the Han River, Seoul's history stretches back over two thousand years, when it was founded in 18 BCE by the people of Baekje, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. The city was later designated the capital of Korea under the Joseon dynasty. Seoul is surrounded by a mountainous and hilly landscape, with Bukhan Mountain located on the northern edge of the city. As with its long history, the Seoul Capital Area contains five UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Changdeok Palace, Hwaseong Fortress, Jongmyo Shrine, Namhansanseong and the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty. More recently, Seoul has been a major site of modern architectural construction – major modern landmarks include the N Seoul Tower, the 63 Building, the Lotte World Tower, the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Lotte World, Trade Tower, COEX, and the IFC Seoul. Seoul was named the 2010 World Design Capital. SUMMARY
=======
South Korea, officially the Republic of Korea (ROK), is a country in East Asia, constituting the southern part of the Korean Peninsula and lying to the east of the Asian mainland. The name Korea is derived from Goguryeo which was one of the great powers in East Asia during its time, ruling most of the Korean Peninsula, Manchuria, parts of the Russian Far East and Inner Mongolia, under Gwanggaeto the Great. South Korea lies in the north temperate zone and has a predominantly mountainous terrain. It comprises an estimated 51.4 million residents distributed over 100,363 km2 (38,750 sq mi). The capital and largest city is Seoul, with a population of 10 million.
Archaeology indicates that the Korean Peninsula was inhabited by early humans starting from the Lower Paleolithic period (2.6 Ma–300 Ka). The history of Korea begins with the foundation of Gojoseon in 2333 BC by the legendary king Dangun, but no archaeological evidence and writing was found from this period. The Gija Joseon was purportedly founded in 11th century BCE, and its existence and role has been controversial in the modern era. The written historical record on Gojoseon (Old Joseon) was first mentioned in Chinese records in the early 7th century BCE.
Following the unification of the Three Kingdoms of Korea under Unified Silla in AD 668, Korea was subsequently ruled by the Goryeo dynasty (918–1392) and the Joseon dynasty (1392–1910). It was annexed by the Empire of Japan in 1910. At the end of World War II, Korea was divided into Soviet and U.S. zones of occupations. A separate election was held in the U.S. zone in 1948 which led to the creation of the Republic of Korea (ROK), while the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) was established in the Soviet zone. The United Nations at the time passed a resolution declaring the ROK to be the only lawful government in Korea. The Korean War began in 1950 when forces from the North invaded the South. The war lasted three years and involved the U.S., China, the Soviet Union and several other nations. The border between the two nations remains the most heavily fortified in the world. Under long-time military leader Park Chung-hee, the South Korean economy grew significantly and the country was transformed into a G-20 major economy. Military rule ended in 1987, and the country is now a presidential republic consisting of 17 administrative divisions.
South Korea is a developed country and a high-income economy, with a very high Human Development Index, ranking 22nd in the world. The country is considered a regional power and is the world's 11th largest economy by nominal GDP and the 12th largest by PPP as o ...
