margate_hosts_the_boat_project.mp4
A quick edit of just some of the film shot during Margate Hosts The Boat Project (Friday 13 July to Monday 16 July 2012). The music is an arrangement of Megan Henwood's song Collective Spirit that was filmed at Turner Contemporary at the Ship's Log Concert. The song Collective Spirit is inspired by the Lone Twin Boat Project and was commissioned by Parrabbola and performed by Regent Brass, The Big Sing, Megan Henwood, Johny Lamb and Steve Jones. The brass band and choir music was arranged, composed and conducted by Em Peasgood.
The Lone Twin Boat Project is part of the London 2012 Festival, a UK wide festival from 21 June - 9 September 2012 featuring leading artists from around the world which is the culmination of the Cultural Olympiad.
Margate Hosts The Boat Project was produced by Parrabbola, funded by Arts Council England and Kent County Council and supported by Thanet District Council, Turner Contemporary, The Dreamland Trust, Margate Carnival, Theatre Royal Margate, South East Dance and Big Dance South East England.
Thanks to Cass Productions for this film, a full evaluation film will be released in September 2012
