Hole #1
Cherokee Valley Golf Club
Hole - #1 Par 5
Cherokee Name: Adalenika - Begin
Yardage:
Gold - 467 yards
Blue - 430 yards
White - 386 yards
Red - 330 yards
With water left and out-of-bounds right, a long iron or 3-metal is suggested off the tee. Keep the driver in the bag unless you can carry the fairway bunkers on the right. With a good approach, either route will set you up for a birdie.

Hole - #2 Par 4
Cherokee Name: Gogeyi - Spring
Yardage:
Gold - 390 yards
Blue - 340 yards
White - 332 yards
Red - 249 yards
On this straightforward hole, avoid the fairway bunker on the right. A drive down the right side of the fairway will set up the best approach to this deep green. Putting can be difficult with a ridge running through the middle of the green.

Yardage:
Gold - 421 yards
Blue - 385 yards

This dogleg right, par 4 usually plays into the wind. Keeping the tee shot out of the two fairway bunkers will leave a long-to-mid iron into a slightly elevated green.

Lucky break at North Creek Golf Southaven MS
Lucky break - Taylormade Stage 2 - 3hy on the first tee at North Creek in Southaven, MS. It (barely) cleared the first water and ran out for a total of ~220 yds - 10yds from the water before the green. My first 79 round. Lots of luck on this round.

Hole - #13 Par 4
Cherokee Name: Guhgwe - Quail
Yardage:
Gold - 374 yards
Blue - 329 yards
White - 291 yards
Red - 229 yards
The key on this par 4 is to steer clear of the two fairway bunkers that run down both sides of the fairway. This large green makes club selection tough.

Longer hitters can reach this green in two. Watch for water down the left side. The smart play is to lay-up for a short iron to the green. This is the last good chance to make an easy birdie on the back side.

Gold - 526 yards

White - 462 yards

For the long hitter, you can reach the green in two if you hit down the left side of the fairway. Players can bail out right off the tee, but left is trouble. If you choose to lay-up, a short shot remains to the green.
Hole #7
Cherokee Valley Golf Club
Hole - #7 Par 3
Cherokee Name: Amayi - In the Water
Yardage:
Gold - 155 yards

Deception awaits on this simple looking par 3. This deep, narrow green is tough to hit if you don't have the right club. Long and left means serious consequences.
Golf Drill: Odd/Even 10 Shot Drill (Group 2 Full Swing)
Make sure you have at least 80 practice balls. For this drill, you will hit 10 balls with each even numbered club (SW, PW, 8 Iron, etc) or 10 balls with each odd numbered club (LW, GW, 9 Iron, etc) in alternating weeks of this drill. Below is the schedule and clubs you will hit during this drill. Your set makeup will determine what clubs you will hit. A GOOD shot is a shot that you hit solid, was the correct shot shape, and ended up within 10 yards of your target. A POOR shot is shot that does not accomplish all of the good shot parameters (example, a solid shot that also shaped from left-right like you wanted, but missed the target by 20 yards is considered POOR)
You will record each shot as GOOD or BAD with each club. At the end of the practice session, you will subtract the total number of bad shots from the total number of good shots.
Example: 46 good shots and 34 poor shots = 46. Your score is 46.
It is very important you complete your pre-shot routine, pick out a target, and give each shot your full attention and focus. When this drill is complete, you will be able to determine which clubs you are most confident with and the ones that need more practice.

With an uphill green, take an extra club. Anything left of the cart path is trouble, and anything right of the green funnels towards the hazard.
