Just the Tip - Parkersburg to Chester, West Virginia
Check us out on FaceBook and Instagram: @RideWV @Ride_West_Virginia
The ride up Route 2 north from Parkersburg is a pleasant ride. Although there aren't a bunch of twists and turns, the road is mostly smooth with only a few rough patches where the road is starting to sink a bit. All trouble spots are well marked with rough road ahead signage. What the road lacks in twistys it more than makes up for in spectacular views of the mighty Ohio river. As the road winds along the water and the train tracks, you are treated to real Americana. Quaint river towns have an abundance of sights to see, places to visit and restaurants not of the chain variety to experience. Two must sees are the West Virginia penitentiary in Moundsville and the worlds largest teapot in Chester, which indicates the end of the road at the northern tip of state. If you're a pizza fan, I recommend DeFelice Brothers pizza, available in several towns in the area. I stopped in Moundsville and the food was delicious.

Chester, WV Pyramid
If this isn't a man made pyramid it is certainly a natural one. I really think this is a pyramid. If you go out Middle Run there is a corner across the run of stone. It has at least 3 flat sides that I can see. If it is natural it is simply amazing.
