Chester Zoo Trip - (March 2018)
Recently I visited Chester Zoo!
I had a really great time and I saw pretty much all of the animal species including the zoo's jaguars, Sumatran tigers, Andean and sun bears, Sumatran and Bornean orangutans, okapis, black rhinos and more!
I got lots of great videos of the zoo's animals and I also got to try out my new SLR for photos for the first time at this zoo!
I used a Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary Lens on my Canon EOS 77D Camera for photography!
I used a Canon SX60 HS for my videos!

Chester Zoo is a zoological garden at Upton by Chester, in Cheshire, England. Chester Zoo was opened in 1931 by George Mottershead and his family. Chester Zoo is one of the UK's largest zoos at 125 acres.
Chester Zoo has a total land holding of approximately 400 acres (160 ha). Chester Zoo is operated by the North of England Zoological Society, a registered charity founded in 1934. The Chester Zoo receives no government funding.
Chester Zoo is the most-visited wildlife attraction in Britain with more than 1.4 million visitors in 2014. In 2007 Forbes described Chester Zoo as one of the best fifteen zoos in the world. In July 2015 Chester Zoo was named as the best zoo in the UK and seventh in the world by TripAdvisor.
Chester Zoo holds a large and diverse collection. At the end of 2007, over half the species at the zoo appeared on the IUCN Red List and 155 were classified as threatened species. The zoo opened Islands at Chester Zoo in July 2015, a project extending the footprint of the zoo by 15 acres and built to the south of the west half of the current site.

Menurut situs VisitBritain, Chester Zoo ini adalah yang terbesar di Inggris, sehingga pengunjung perlu meluangkan seharian penuh untuk mengeksplorasinya. Kebun binatang ini menjadi rumah bagi 12 ribu hewan lebih dari 400 spesies yang berbeda. Setengah dari spesies tersebut merupakan spesies yang terancam punah.
Sejak 13 Juli 2015 di Chester Zoo ini telah dibuka “Islands at Chester Zoo”, yaitu proyek pengembangan kebun binatang terbesar yang pernah ada di Inggris yang dibangun sejak tahun 2013. Proyek ini menciptakan lingkungan tropis untuk enam pulau yang ada di Asia Tenggara, lima diantaranya adalah pulau-pulau yang ada di Indonesia, yaitu Sumatera, Sumba, Bali, Papua, Sulawesi, dan Panay (Filipina) !! Bangganya… Mereka ingin menunjukkan kepada pengunjung bagaimana habitat yang ada di pulau-pulau tersebut dan konversi yang Chester Zoo lakukan di Asia Tenggara. Pengunjung bisa mengarungi pulau-pulau ini dengan berperahu.
