Bloodhound visits Chesterfield College for Made in Chesterfield
A replica of the Bloodhound, Britain’s latest attempt to break the world land speed record, was at Chesterfield College in November 2015.
The car, which aims to reach 1,000 mph, has special significance for the town as local industrial weighing specialists, Weightron Bilanciai Ltd, have supplied the weighing systems used throughout its construction.
The event was organised by Destination Chesterfield and Chesterfield Collge as part of the annual Made in Chesterfield festival, a celebration of the manufacturing industry in the town.
Around 40 people attended the event.
This included people from businesses involved in Chesterfield Champions, a networking scheme that aims to raise the profile of the town. A special drinks reception was central to the evening before a presentation by the Bloodhound team and a viewing of the replica.
