I recently visited the Waychinicup Inlet near Albany Western Australia.
What an amazing place! Sheltered on either side with massive outcrops of granite rock and thousands of native grass trees.
Crystal clear waters can be enjoyed by children in the sheltered rock pool area and it’s a great place to snorkel or explore on kayak.
This beautiful inlet is definitely worthy of a visit or camp the night to enjoy a magnificent sunset and sunrise in one of WA’s hidden gems.

Cheynes Beach Drive AL9
Driving around Cheyne's beach with a mate and his clan for WA Day public holiday.
I drove through a water crossing with my window down (rookie mistake) and a deluge of water washed inside the car and all over the dash and both of us. Luckily it was fresh water, bloody cold fresh water though...
15th June 2018 Bluff Creek Hilton to Waychinicup Inlet
Murray and I left the Bluff Creek Hilton and headed West along the beach toward the Cheyne Beach Settlement and Caravan Park. We stopped to watch the blokes from Broome Hill catch some nice Salmon and we got some video of a couple of pods of Dolphins surfing the waves along Cheyne Beach. The ocean was like a mill pond and it was an awesome drive along the beach back to the settlement. We had to go inland around a headland because the tide was in and we bashed through some coastal bush tracks until we found our way back to the beach. We stopped in at Cheyne Beach to drop a bottle of red to one of my clients that has a house there with an awesome jetty set up in front of their home to park the boat next to for loading and unloading the boat which was pretty unique and a great idea. After that we made our way to Waychinicup Inlet for lunch, what an awesome spot that was. I will go back there to explore a little more next year that's for sure.
