छछरौली का क़िला आज खण्डहर होने दिया जा रहा है, पर अभी भी यहाँ ऐसा बहुत कुछ है जिसे सहेजा जाना चाहिए। यहाँ दीवारों पर की गयी चित्रकारी, भवन निर्माण की पारंपरिक शैली पर कहीं पाश्चात्य प्रभाव भी अपने में समेटे हुए।
इसे बुरी स्थिति में देखें तो दुःख होता है। इसकी हालत ऐसे लगती है जैसे कोई बुज़ुर्ग अपने बुढ़ापे में बहुत बीमार, कमज़ोर और अकेला छोड़ दिया गया हो।

यमुना नगर के छछरौली बालकुंज से नाबालिग लड़कियां हुई फ़रार || p24 news
यमुना नगर के छछरौली बालकुंज से दीवार फांद फ़रार हुई 16 साल की दो नाबालिग लडकिया मिली।कल दोपहर बीमारी का बहाना लगाकर अपने कमरे में जाने की बात कह कर दो नाबालिग फरार हो गयी थी।
छछरौली बालकुंज में एक बार फिर से बहुत बड़ी लापरवाही के कारण ये नाबालिग लड़कियां फरार हो गई थी। नाबालिग के फरार होने की सूचना पर बालकुंज में हड़कंप मच गया। जिसके बाद बालकुंज अधीक्षक ने छछरौली थाना में गुमशुदगी की शिकायत दी थी।वही इस मामले के 24 घँटे के भीतर ही दोनों नाबालिग लड़किया मिल गयी।डीसी यमुनानगर में बालकुंज से बच्चो के फरार होने के मामलों पर चिंता जताई ओर कहा कि इस मामले में भी जो कानूनी कारवाई होगी वो की जाएगी ।फिलहाल दोनों नाबालिग लड़कियों को सीडब्ल्यूसी के सामने पेश किया जाएगा।

यमुनानगर के कस्बा छछरौली के बालकुंज से मंगलवार की देर शाम दीवार को फांद कर भागी दोनो लडकियों को पुलिस ने बरामद लिया लडकियों को बालकुंज लाने पर एक बडा खुलासा भी सामने आया है जिसके बाद दोनो लडकियों के परिजन उन्हें घर ले जाने से भी मना कर रहे है हालाकि एक लडकी लुधियाना और दूसरी को अंबाला से बरामद किया है और अब इस पूरे मामले मे ंपुलिस जांच कर रही है
यमुनानगर के कस्बा छछरौली के बालकुंज से अभी लडको के भागने का मामला तो शांत भी नही हुआ था कि दो लडकिया भी दीवार को फांद कर फरार हो गई दोनो ंलडकियो के ऐसे में भाग जाने को लेकर बालकुंज एक बार फिर से विवादों के घेरे में तो आ गया लेकिन इस बार बालकुंज के अधिकारी भी आनन फानन में पुलिस के पास पहुंचे और थाना छछरौली पुलिस ने इस मामले में तुंरत कार्रावाई करते हुए दोनों लडकियों की तलाश में जुट गई शुरूवाती जांच में ही पुलिस की पूछताछ में जो सामने आया वही से ही पुलिस ने दोनो लडकियों को बरामद कर लिया पुलिस ने इस मामले में एक लडकी को उसकी मौसी के पास से लुधियाना और दूसरी को उसके दोस्त के पास से अंबाला में बरामद किया हालाकि पुलिस दोनो लडकियों का मेडिकल करवाने के बाद कार्रावाई करने की बात कह रही है लेकिन बालकुंज लाने के बाद जब लडकियों से पूछताछ की तो रौंगटे खडे कर देने वाले खुलासे किए और ऐसे में जब दोनो लडकियों के परजिनों को बालकुंज में बुलाया गया तो उन्होंने भी लडकियों की इस हरकत को देखते हुए उन्हें घर पर ले जाने से भी साफ साफ मना कर दिया
फरार हुई दोनों लडकियो को जब बालकुंज में लाया गया तो जांच में पाया गया कि लुधियाना में भाग कर पहुंची हुई लडकी अपनी मौसी के पास पहुंची थी जोकि नशे की आदि है और उसकी मौसी उसे गल्त धंधे में डाल रही है और लडकी को नशे की ऐसी लत उसकी मौसी ने लगाई है िकवह भाग भाग कर हर बार अपनी मौसी के पास पहुंच रही है ऐसे में इस लडकी को लेकर पुलिस मेडिकल के बाद कार्रावाई की बात कह रही है जबकि दूसरी लडकी को पुलिस ने उसके दोस्त के पास से अंबाला से बरामद किया था और यहा आने के बाद वह लडकी उसी लडके के साथ शादी करने की बात कह रही है बता दे कि दोनो ही लडकिया नाबालिग है और ऐसे में इस प्रकार लडकियों का यहा से असानी से भाग जाना भी बालकुंज पर कई स्वाल खडे कर रहा है हालाकि लडकियों के बालकुंज में आते ही एसडीएम बिलासपुर चाइल्ड हेल्प लाइन व कई अन्य प्रशासनिक अधिकारी स्वय मामले की जांच के लिए बालकुंज पहुंचे थे क्योंकि लडकियों ने कुछ ऐसे ही बाते बालकुंज अधिकारियों को बताई थी हालाकि बालकुंज के अधिकारी ज्यादा कुछ तो बताने के लिए तैयार नही है लेकिन इतना जरूर कह रहे है कि दोनों ही लडकिया पहले भी घर से भाग चुकी है और अब भी यहा से भाग गई थी और दोनों लडकिया सही स्लामत यहा ले आए है लेकिन अब पुलिस अब दोनो लडकियों के मेडिकल करवाने की बात कह रही है जबकि जिला प्रशासन ने बालकुंज में सुधार लाने के लिए सख्त हिदायते भी दी है

यमुनानगर के छछरौली में बना बालकुंज शैलटर होम एक बार फिर सुर्खियों में है । प्रशासन की लाख दावों के बाद एक बार फिर यहां से 4 बच्चे बाथरूम के रोशनदान से कूद कर फरार हो गए हैं। भागने वालो में से 2 बच्चे नेपाल जबकि 2 यमुनानगर के ही हैं। चारों के भागने की वजह साफ नहीं हो पाई है लेकिन इस मामले के बाद बालकुंज की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था पर सवालिया निशान जरूर खड़े हो रहे हैं। जिला उपायुक्त गिरीश अरोड़ा के मुताबिक इन बच्चों की तलाश शुरू कर दी है इन चारों के माता-पिता से भी बात की जाएगी। दोबारा ऐसा ना हो इसके लिए भी सुरक्षा के इंतजाम और पुख्ता किए जाएंगे।

Haryana government to construct Delhi-Yamunanagar Express way
The Haryana government is planning to construct a 200-kms-long Bawana-Yamunanagar Expressway along the Western Yamuna Canal at a cost of Rs 1000 crore with the state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar directing the authorities to carry out a survey of the proposed road.
The direction was issued today when the CM was presiding over a meeting of Public Works Department here,

It is about 35 kilometres (22 mi) from the state capital of Dehradun and 290 km (180 mi) north of the national capital of New Delhi. The hill station is in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan range. The adjoining town of Landour, which includes a military cantonment, is considered part of 'greater Mussoorie', as are the townships of Barlowganj and Jharipani.
Mussoorie is at an average altitude of 1,880 metres (6,170 ft). To the northeast are the Himalayan snow ranges, and to the south, the Doon Valley and Shiwalik ranges. The second highest point is the original Lal Tibba in Landour, with a height of over 2,275 metres (7,464 ft). Mussoorie is popularly known as The Queen of the Hills.
Mussoorie was founded by Lt. Frederick Young of East India Company. Lt. Young came to these hills for the purpose of shooting game.
He was so enamoured by the beauty that he decided to build a hunting lodge (shooting box) on the Camel's Back Road with FJ Shore, Jt. Magistrate of Doon in 1823. He raised the first Gurkha Regiment and planted the first potatoes in the valley. His tenure in Mussoorie ended in 1844 and he further served in Dimapore and Darjeeling and retired as a General and went back to Ireland.[citation needed] There are no memorials to commemorate Young in Mussoorie. However, there is a Young Road in Dehradoon on which ONGC's Tel Bhawan stands.
In 1832 Mussoorie was the intended terminus of the Great Trigonometric Survey of India that began at the southern tip of India. Although unsuccessful, the Surveyor General of India at the time, George Everest wanted to have the new office of the Survey of India based in Mussoorie. A compromise was to have it in Dehradun, where it still is.[citation needed]

The name Mussoorie is often attributed to a derivation of 'mansoor', a shrub which is indigenous to the area. The town is often referred to as 'Mansoori' by most Indians.
