Traveling To Chiang Mai, Thailand As A Beginner Traveler
Hello everybody welcome to my channel. This is my very first time traveling out of the country to Chiang Mai, Thailand. This trip provided me with particular guidelines to followed in order for me to blend in.
To others Thailand is known as the land of smiles but to me it is something quite different. To me Thailand is the land of comfort because it’s affordable. It’s very cheap to live here and of course it’s culture is extremely gentle other than the minor bumps here and there. Even though Thai people are all smiles and full of graces they still get easily offended by certain behaviors.
How To Extend Your Thai Tourist Visa (Chiang Mai 2019 Edition) | Where Am I Wednesday | Episode 135
Even though I've done a video before on how to extend your Thai tourist visa, things have changed in Chiang Mai. So, for today's WAIW episode, I thought I would show you the new location for the Thailand Immigration office, and give you an idea of just what you'll need to get your two-month visa extended for another month.
Note: I know this one is terribly late, but a migraine all evening and the need to learn some new iMovie tricks at 4am threw things off schedule significantly. Oops.

How's Business in Chiang Mai? Interview with GM of Luxury Hotel - HD
Exclusive HD video interview with Manfred ILG, General Manager of the 137 Pillars House in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In this interview, filmed on 25 September 2014, we ask Manfred how business has been since our last interview in December 2013. How RevPAR and Occupancy Rates have been affected by the coup, the curfew and general political turmoil in Thailand this year. We also ask whether the hotel's markets have changed, where he would like to see airlines such as AirAsia and Bangkok Airways launch flights to and from Chiang Mai, plus whether the hotel has any changes planned in 2015 and what he thinks Chiang Mai needs to be careful of as it develops into a major tourism and aviation hub. Plus, what does this luxury hotel - a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World - have planned for its guests during the Christmas and New Year period. All that and much, much more.

Welcoming and exciting, teeming with culture and history, Thailand is renowned for islands, stretches of sandy beaches, imperial palaces, historical ruins and temples. She loves meeting people from around the world and sharing her home country with them.
If you want to learn more about the culture, interact with Thai residents and understand their way of life it’s essential to have passionate people like Gigi by your side. There aren’t many countries in this world like Thailand, and there’s no better way to see it than by having a local tell you about everything that makes it so enjoyable. She’ll show you a side of Thailand that not many people will get to see, but best of all, Gigi probably knows where you can get the most fragrant and delicious curry in town!

6 Best Attractions Off the Beaten Path // Thailand Travel Guide
After backpacking in Thailand for 2 months, consciously avoiding tourists and visiting lesser known places I can wholly say that the right way to discover Thailand, is seeing it off the beaten path.
In this video I’m sharing the 6 best experiences, attractions and places to see in Thailand that are off the beaten track. Wondering what are the best places to visit in Bangkok? The best things to do in Phuket? What are the hidden gems and secrets of Thailand? Search no further!
Watch the entire series of Thailand Off the Beaten Path travel vlog HERE:
Attractions:
6. The Library in Phuket:
Google Maps Coordinates of The Library in Phuket:
“The Library” is the perfect place to experience the authentic nightlife and nightclubs of Thailand.
Located on the island of Phuket, in an area called Old Phuket Town, The Library is an amazing club, where only locals go. If you want to know what it feel like to go out like Thai people do, this is the place to see.
5. Khao Mai Khew Cave in Koh Lanta:
Coordinates of the Khao Mai Khew Cave in Koh Lanta:
Information about getting to Koh Lanta:
Khao Mai Khew is an amazingly beautiful cave complex on the island of Koh Lanta. Entry to the cave is allowed only with a guide, which can be reserved on the spot at the small counter in the middle of the forest of Koh Lanta (the coordinates above lead to that counter). Make sure to bring comfortable clothes for walking, and water. The tour takes about 3-4 hours.
4. The Secret Beach of Koh Muk:
Coordinates to Morakot Cave (Emerald Cave) in Koh Muk:
Coordinates to Charlie Beach, where you can rent a kayak (make sure to ask for a flashlight as well!):
Getting to Koh Muk:
The Morakot Cave (Emerald Cve) on the island of Koh Muk is a magical place. Getting there requires stamina and a bit of guts, and it should be done with safety and care! Make sure you know what you’re doing and wear a life vest!
3. Authentic Bangkok: Somdet Chao Phraya:
Coordinates of Somdet Chao Phraya in Bangkok:
Somdet Chao Phraya is a neighborhood south of the more touristy center of Bangkok. There is no specific “thing” to do there. Rather, it’s a neighborhood that preserved some of the feel of Bangkok before it’s progression as a metropolitan, and to that end- just walking around, talking to the locals and breathing the atmosphere- is an incredible experience on it’s own. A must visit when going to Bangkok.
2. The Mae Hong Son Loop: Motorcycle Trip in Northern Thailand:
I followed the general guidelines offered by Lonely Planet, with some tweaks and changes of my own:
The Mae Hong Son Loop is a 700+ KM round in northern Thailand that starts and end in the city of Chiang Mai. It takes a minimum of 4 days and is most commonly done by bike (can also be done with a car). In terms of one singular activity, the Mae Hong Son Loop was undoubtedly the most memorable I had during my entire trip. The route passes through some of the most breathtaking views, sceneries and villages found in all of Thailand. When going off the beaten path in Thailand, the Mae Hong Son loop is an absolute must.
Note that this trip is not a child’s game. Please take all the right precautions before going about it. For any concerns, recommendations or question you have regarding the bike trip, please comment below.
1. The locals. explained in the video.

Chiang Mai Trip 2019
After 3 consecutive years of pursuing our dream in Thailand my wife and I finally achieved our goal by winning a medal in the Keepro Chiangmai International Badminton Sawasdee Cup 2019. The competition have always been tough especially when playing against the Thai host teams. In the past two years we only managed up to quarter-final round even though the scores were very close. The competition this year was equally challenging but with a little bit of luck on our side this time we managed to enter to the semi-final when we beat our Thai opponent by a single point! Yes we were lucky this time but we delivered because of the hard work we have put in all these years. Thanks to my wife, Cheryl for believing in me, never give up on me and enduring all the physical and mental pain during training all for the preparation for the tournament. Thanks to my coaches and all my sparring partners for your guidance and support. Without your assistance I would never have improved myself to achieve this dream. Thanks also to my little naughty son, Nathan for your moral support and assistance in taking these beautiful photos and videos for us. You have contributed greatly by capturing these memorable moments which we will treasure for the rest of our lives!
