Chiba is the capital city of Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It sits about 40 kilometers southeast of the center of Tokyo on Tokyo Bay. Chiba City became a government-designated city in 1992.
Chiba is famous for the Chiba Urban Monorail, the longest suspended monorail in the world. Some popular destinations in the city include: Kasori Shell Midden, the largest shellmound in the world at 134,000 m2 (160,000 sq yd), Inage Beach, the first artificial beach in the nation which forms part of the longest artificial beach in Japan, and the Chiba City Zoological Park, popular on account of the standing red panda Futa.

Robot Shuttle: Japan's first driverless bus to begin service in Chiba
Japanese firm DeNA showcased the country's first robot driverless bus, the Robot Shuttle, in Chiba.
The Robot Shuttle can seat up to 12 people, and travels at a speed of up to 40 kph (25 mph).

Japan: Country’s first DRIVERLESS robot bus to begin service in Chiba
Japanese firm DeNA showcased the country's first robot driverless bus, the Robot Shuttle, in Chiba, Monday, which will begin service in the Aeon Shopping Mall in Chiba's Makuhari district next month.
The Robot Shuttle can seat up to 12 people, and travels at a speed of up to 40 kph (25 mph). Greece and Switzerland are among other countries to have tried, - or be about to try - the driverless buses. DeNA, known best for mobile gaming, will provide the Robot Shuttle service in partnership with the French venture EasyMile, with the eventual aim of expanding the service from private property such as malls and campuses, to public roads.

アクアライン Tokyo Bay Aqualine express bus from tokyo to chiba
1997 saw the completion of the Tokyo Wan Aqua Line bridge and tunnel, which burrows under and rises across Tokyo Bay between Kisarazu (Chiba prefecture) and Kawasaki (on the Tokyo side). At ¥4000 for a passenger car, almost nobody uses the tunnel though, and it's bleeding government money. You can take highway buses through the tunnel and over the bridge from Tokyo Station, Shinagawa, Haneda Airport, Kawasaki and Yokohama stations for up to ¥1500 one way to Kisarazu.

Tokyo → Narita Airport, the Cheapest | Bus vs Train vs Uber
What’s the cheapest way from Tokyo to Narita Airport? It’s not the train. Certainly we can rule taxis out. The best and easiest is actually the bus, and it’s so simple! ¥1000 ($10) one way leaving every 10 minutes — suit cases stored underneath while you ride high with nice views of the countryside via highway.
Prices and travel time:
Bus: ¥1000 / $10 | 70 min
Train: ¥3020 / $30 | 60 min
Uber: approx ¥23,000 / $220 | 70 min but straight to Hotel NOTE: Uber only has Uber black in Japan
