Our department contributes to basic and clinical research, training of academic and clinical careers, and commits to provide care for patients with complex endocrine and metabolic disorders.
The basic science and clinical studies carried out at our department cover a wide range of areas in endocrinology, metabolism and diabetes. Through our integrated research, education, patient and community outreach programs, we aim at maintaining the highest standards of academic medicine and patient care.
As a leading center for research, clinical studies, consultation, and treatment in Japan, our faculty is dedicated to providing patients with the latest therapies in the care and management of complex endocrine and metabolic diseases. Our research and clinical activities include diverse areas such as pituitary and adrenal disorders, various aspects of diabetes, obesity, inheritable metabolic diseases and aging.

Chiba (千葉市 Chiba-shi?) is the capital city of Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It sits about 40 kilometres (25 mi) southeast of the center of Tokyo on Tokyo Bay.[1] Chiba City became a government-designated city in 1992. In February 2016, its population was 972,861, with a population density of 3,580 people per square kilometer. The city had an area of 271.76 square kilometres (104.93 sq mi).
Chiba City is one of the Kantō region's primary seaports, and is home to Chiba Port, which handles one of the highest volumes of cargo in the nation. Much of the city is residential, although there are many factories and warehouses along the coast. There are several major urban centers in the city, including Makuhari, a prime waterfront business district in which Makuhari Messe is located, and Central Chiba, in which the prefectural government office and the city hall are located.
Chiba is famous for the Chiba Urban Monorail, the longest suspended monorail in the world. Some popular destinations in the city include: Kasori Shell Midden, the largest shellmound in the world at 134,000 m2 (160,000 sq yd), Inage Beach, the first artificial beach in the nation which forms part of the longest artificial beach in Japan, and the Chiba City Zoological Park, popular on account of the standing red panda Futa.

Going To Driving School in Japan! (Getting A Japanese Driver's License!)
The secret is out! I'm getting my full driver's license in Japan!
I’ve been going to Fukuoka Prefectural Driving School to get my license and it’s actually a lot of fun!? I don't know why I waited so long to get this done.
I’ve always had a fear of driving and I was really worried I’d never pass in Japanese... (Okay I haven’t technically taken any exams yet so I can’t say I haven’t failed yet but) I was actually super relieved to know they have English textbooks and the tests can be taken in English too.
The actual classes are all in Japanese though so I haven’t decided which language I’m going to take the tests in, but now that I’m actually going to the school I feel way more confident. Driving on the school course is so boring. I want to get out on the real roads. :o

A Day in Moriya with Ate Doris! (Watch in HD)
Moriya is located in southwestern Ibaraki Prefecture, bordering on Chiba Prefecture to the southwest. The city is surrounded by three rivers, the Kinugawa, Kokaigawa and the Tone River, one of the longest rivers in Japan. In terms of area, it is the smallest city in Ibaraki Prefecture. It is located approximately 35 kilometers from central Tokyo.
I travel whenever I get time to travel and people ask me the same question, Why do you travel or why do you waste money on travel and I normally look at their faces that what should I answer them cause anyway they will never get to understand the answer unless you do it yourself. Seeing is believing and I agree with everyone. It's education, exposure, learning, exploring, management, cultures, dealing, problem solving etc.
Life is short, so live it well! Travel, see the world, explore.

Chiba University is also abbreviated as Chibadai (千葉大) is a national university in the city of Chiba, Japan. It offers Doctoral degrees in education as part of a coalition with Tokyo Gakugei University, Saitama University, and Yokohama National University. The university was formed in 1949 from existing educational institutions in Chiba Prefecture, and absorbed over a period of years Chiba Medical University (1923-1960), a preparatory department of the Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Chiba Normal School (1872-1951), Tokyo Polytechnic High School (1914-1951), Chiba Horticultural High School, and others. Chiba University was reincorporated in 2010 under the National University Corporation Act.

Named after a local school known for its liberal education, Jiyugaoka, which stands for “Freedom Hill” used to be a rural area on the southern end of Meguro, that started to develop in the 1920s after rail services were introduced and where many artists came and settled to get some peace away from Tokyo’s center.
Today, Jiyugaoka is still one of Meguro’s most beloved areas not only for it's quite fashionable atmosphere but also for it’s many stores and restaurants. Also, note that Jiyugaoka is a very popular destination for people looking for a fashionable hairdresser. Indeed it is not rare to see several hair salons all along Jiyugaoka’s streets.
