Mexico Day 6 Chichen Itza, a Colonial town and a Rant
Rain and More Rain on my trip, today we head to Chichen Itza in the rain this is going to suck but i've already paid for my tour so time to do it up. I went to Go Natural tours and it sucked ass. I was not impressed at all, first I paid extra for a premium trip and ended up feeling like I got the short end of shit sandwich. traveled in a shitty bus, went to a shitty Cenote but at least I got to see Chichen Itza.

Chichén Itzá and Zazil Tunich Canote // Exploring One of the Wonders of the World, This Christmas we traveled to Cancun, Mexico as a family and while we were there we visisted Chichén Itzá, One of the seven wonders of the world. Along with Chichén Itzá we also experience Zazil Tunich Canote, an underwater cave in which you can swim, it was an amazing experience.
After that we walked around a local Maya village where learnt about traditional culture and met some lovely people.
All in all Chichén Itzá and Zazil Tunich Canote was an experience i will never forget.

I.am.wanderlust | Merida | Chichen Itza | Cenote | Mexico
Since the Spanish conquest, Merida has been the cultural capital of the entire Yucatan Peninsula. It is the perfect location to kick off your adventure into the rest of Yucatan state. There is many archeological sites (Uxmal, Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, Coba...) and Cenotes, but you are also not far from the beach. I drove from Merida to Piste, which is the closest town to Chichen Itza a UNESCO world heritage site since 1988. Therefore, I was able to be there right at the opening hour and about 1 hour before all the tourist buses arrived (around 10am).
Chichen Itza was one of the largest Maya cities and one of the most visited archaeological sites in Mexico. It has the biggest ball game court (Juego de Pelota) of the whole Mayan culture.
Another must do is a visit to a Cenote. It is a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. There is many all over the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.

1) Buy your bus ticket for Tepoztlán here:
2) Get off the bus here (more or less):
3) Go explore the town and hike that mountain.
4) Go back to the location from step 2 to buy a return ticket to Cuernavaca.

A day at Chichen Itza & cenote Il Kil of Yucatan, Mexico
Here you get to see Chichen Itza and the nearby cenote of Il Kil. Yucatan is totally worth visiting! The tour takes you to originally all Maya pueblo - Valladolid, the New Seven Wonder of the World- Chichen Itza and to a beautiful cenote (sink hole lake) called Il Kil.
