Russia: Visitors to Serov's 'Girl with Peaches' kept warm by EMERCOM
Russia's Ministry of Emergencies Situations (EMERCOM) opened a warming centre and field kitchen outside Moscow's iconic Tretyakov Gallery, Saturday, to provide hot tea and coffee to visitors waiting hours to see a rare exhibition from one of Russia's best known painters, Valentin Serov.
SOT, Colonel Konstantin Dyalov, Head of Russia's Emergencies Ministry (EMERCOM) in Central Administrative District of the city of Moscow (Russian): Central Administration of Russia's Emergencies Ministry in the city of Moscow with the help of the prefecture of the Central Administrative District provides warming for those people who come to the exhibition. For this purpose the warming centres were organised and visitors are provided with hot tea.
SOT, Galina Soklova, Exhibition visitor (Russian): What do we expect from the exhibition? Impressions. Of course, we are familiar with Serov's paintings from illustrations, catalogs. We need to see it with our own eyes, the live paintings. Because those who have already visited the exhibition and seen them, say that it is a completely different experience - the paintings and the faces are glowing. And that is exactly what we have come to see.

This group of teenagers from Russia has won several gold medals in international dancing contests. They have performed in Germany, Spain, Czech Republic, France, Japan, Cuba, Greece, China and Tunisia and have won first prize in dance competition in Russia and East Europe. They will present modern and folk dances from Russia and other parts of the world.

Sabatynivka Archaeological Treasure | Virtual Museum Tour
The Mykolayiv Regional Museum of Local Lore. It took a hundred years between its establishment and opening it as a museum. The first findings included in the exhibits were made by sailors back in 1792. The first and genuine Mykolayiv Museum of Local Lore was opened by a lawyer and amateur archaeologist in 1913. It changed its addresses several times and today it is one of the first museums of ancient history in Ukraine. Its objects are the result of exhausting and tremendous archaeological work and a true stroke of luck and success. Yet, sometimes the smile of “lady luck” is more reminiscent of a grin. It is a case of discovery in the village Kuriachi Lozy in the Mykolayiv oblast.
