Veliky Novgorod Russia's origins HD
Veliky Novgorod Russia's origins HD
Almost half a way on the road from modern Russian capital (Moscow) to former one (St. Petersburg) there is the ancient city of Novgorod Velikiy (the Great). By now it is a conglomerate of historical, cultural and spiritual monuments worth seeing.
Velikiy Novgorod - one of the most ancient cities of Russia located in its North-West, near the site where the Volkhov river takes its waters from Lake Ilmen, emerged as a political center of Slavic and Fino-Ugric tribes in the mid-9th century, while as a town it was formed in the middle of the 10th century.
The history of Novgorod is closely linked with all major stages in the life of the Russian state. In those times, when the statehood of Rus was just in the making, the Novgorodians invited Scandinavian prince Rurik to keep law and order, thus giving birth to the prince Rurik dynasty that ruled over all Russian lands throughout more than 750 years

The Volga River is the largest river in Europe flowing in western Russia and is called the Mother Volga River. And on this huge river is the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin. The Kremlin, which stands for medieval Russian fortifications and fortresses, can be found anywhere in Russia's big cities. With a total of 13 towers and 2 km of walls, the history of the Kremlin dates back to the early 13th century. The Kremlin, which was originally a wooden tower and rebuilt with bricks in the early 16th century, is still greatly loved. The Kremlin is the center of our city, a resort and a historic place. I can show children how history was created and created. So here is always good energy. I'm glad that people with good heart are coming. I went inside to get a closer look at the Kremlin. The Kremlin, which was used as a fighter plane as well as the city government offices, remains intact inside. In particular, there is a huge wall painting made by photographs of Russian veterans who were sacrificed in World War II. A devastating World War II that spawned some 50 million victims worldwide. More than half of them, about 29 million deaths, came from Russia, so you can see how sacrificial they were. Every big city with a population of 500,000 or more lives in Russia, celebrating the sacrifice of those who were victims of the war. Almost everyone lost their family. Somebody lost a father, someone lost a child, and a husband lost. It is really good for young people to remember the war without forgetting it. Do not forget. They gave their lives for our country.

There is a huge cathedral in the center of the island. The Petropavlovsk cathedral, rebuilt in 1850, is the tallest building in St. Petersburg with a height of 122.5 meters. The majesty of the Russian dynasty is felt in the magnificent Leaning Tower decorated with gold and the splendid pattern. When I walked into the cathedral, the inside was decorated with splendor. The gorgeous golden pattern and the high ceiling seem to combine the church and the palace. There are coffins on one side of the church. The court of the emperors who ruled Russia in the past. Fourteen emperors, including Peter the Great, who built St. Petersburg, are sleeping here. I approached the place where many people were crowded. There is a coffin of Nikolai II, the last emperor of Russia. Emperor Nikolai, who was forcibly displaced by the 1917 revolution, was executed by the Soviet government and the body was left in the forest. When the Soviet Union collapsed, the Russian Orthodox Church recognized Nikolai II as a martyr and laid the body there. In 2008, the Russian Supreme Court acknowledged that Emperor Nikolai was victimized by political repression. Emperor's tomb was abandoned for 73 years. Citizens were commemorating him. There were many children. He must have been a respected father of course. If I hated children, I would not have had many children. He faithfully kept what he should be a Christian. A doctor named Bootkin treated him and he and others around him say he is a good person. But he was incompetent as a ruler.

The City Of Vladimir

FOLKWORLD - Groups for your festival & Festivals for your group present group from Singapore
Ivan Kupala Midsummer Russian Festival
At the peak of the Sun’s Reign, we have been celebrating ‘Kupala’ Festival, the oldest Slavic holiday that has survived in our collective memory. For the last three years we have been celebrating at Emerson College enjoying the freshness of the woods, organic food in the biodynamic cafe and enjoying two days of healing ceremonies, live music and workshops with Russian and English presenters set in the beautiful English countryside. And with Big Lottery Funding we hope this year to reach out to a wider audience across London.
We will invite people from Russian schools and societies with over 20,000 members, artists from Emerson College, local schools and communities bringing people together through monthly group workshops, weekly sessions and two events: a Russian Traditional Winter Festival in Covent Garden and the Summer Kupala festival. The weekly classes will be held at Russian Schools, choirs and folk groups based in Brighton, Hastings and London. The workshops will include dancing, singing, drumming and making Crazy Matryoshka Russian Dolls for exhibition and sale. Their art will be exhibited at the Maslenitsa Winter Festival.
The workshops will reach at least 900 Russian speakers who feel isolated in unfamiliar environments and find it difficult integrating into the local neighbourhood. Making new friendships and breaking barriers between diverse communities will improve wellbeing in the hearts of participants, filling them with joy and confidence to share in their communities and so making places better.
At Maslenitsa, a traditional winter festival with masks, there will be exhibitions, mask making, yoga workshops, tai chi, massage, tea ceremonies, Russian bread tasting and childrens’ shows. London School of Biodanza, Mary Ward Centre, Morley College and London home educators will be invited. The evening concert will include folk, rock and solo performances by traditional singers and guitarists. Children will be looked after by trained child minders and able to enjoy yoga, Madame Zucchini Vegetable Theatre and share traditional Russian Borsch. The London festival will have a winter theme with masks and a snow machine.
In the warmth of June at the Ivan Kupala Festival our tutors will explore shamanic journeys, our ancestral roots, meditation with Tibetan bowls and art therapy. They will also lead sessions covering the nature of divine relationships and Biodanza circle. Expect a big celebration in the evenings with fire jumping and fire walking, singing and dancing around the fire.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.
