This weekend we went to Chilham Castle and competed in the BEONovice. We got put in the Open Novice because there weren't enough entries for the class I should have been in.. The U18 Novice! Anyway Jack did a nice test and got a fair mark of 35.5, although I think they mark a bit harsher in the open sections. The show jumping was up to height and the arena was very undulating! This didn't bother Jack though as he went and did a lovely clear! The cross-country was a really nice course with quite a few questions. There was a big long hill in the middle of it which tired nearly all the horses out so most people got time. Jack went clear and got 9.2 time as the hill tired him out... he did get a second wind though! Overall we finished 3rd and Jack got 4BE points! Also Jack was the only pony out of all the Novice sections! Next event is the Pony Club Champs in the Open eventing... Scary :S
