Tibet Travel Video 2019 - Lhasa, Tsedang, Yangpachen, Shigatse, Mount Everest

In this video we share with you some of the memories from our Custom 2019 Spiritual and Meditation Tour, which we organized for 18 travelers from Mexico. Our honored guests are members of a Buddhist group called Centro Himalaya ( located in Mexico City. They spent 3 weeks with us traveling throughout China and Tibet. This video is covers the China portion of the tour.

Samye Gonba (Tibet) Vacation Travel Video Guide

Travel video about destination Samye Gonba in Tibet.
Samye Gonba is the oldest monastery in Tibet and one of the most important historic landmarks in Yarlung’s Valley Of Kings. A circular wall that contains a hundred and eight chortens surrounds the large monastery complex.The Samye Monastery was designed strictly according to the Buddhist principles of the universe and India’s Temple Of Otantapuri served as its model. The main temple in the centre of the monastery symbolises the mystical Mount Meru that is surrounded by four temples, each located in one of the four directions of the compass. The introduction of Buddhist monastery culture and the decline in the Bon system of faith with its demonic beliefs, gave Tibetan society a new structure. Despite its great age and dramatic history, Samye is still one of the most beautiful and unique religious sanctuaries in Tibet.

Gyantse Kumbum - Tibetan Buddhism - China

A Kumbum (Wylie: sku 'bum one hundred thousand holy images) is a multi-storied aggregate of Buddhist chapels in Tibetan Buddhism. The most famous Kumbum forms part of Palcho Monastery.

The first Kumbum was founded in the fire sheep year 1427 by a Gyantse prince. It has nine lhakangs or levels, is 35 metres (115 ft) high surmounted by a golden dome, and contains 77 chapels which line its walls. Many of the statues were damaged during the Cultural Revolution but have since been replaced with clay images, though they lack the artistic merit of the originals. The 14th century murals showing Newar and Chinese influences, survived much better.

Part of the Insight Asia series, Asian Corridor In Heaven is a six-episode HD documentary series co-produced by KBS and NHK about the world's oldest trade route, the Ancient Tea and Horse Caravan Road.
