Dunedin's first disc golf course is being installed at a local park, with final approval from the city council.
The Chingford Park course in North East Valley has been a long time coming.
And those behind it hope it sparks a surge in popularity for the obscure sport.

Dunedin Florida is really close to Clearwater, Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Pinellas Park Florida. It's an awesome little factory town with spunk and jazz.
Local teacher receives significant award
Encouraging secondary school students to participate in sports has resulted in a Dunedin man receiving a significant award for his services.
The Sports Expo started five years ago at Kaikorai Valley College and now involves many local schools.
The New Zealand Secondary Sports Council says the award recipient is a man who deserves recognition for his work.
