Bike ride at Chiteinomori Museum Park, Sendai, Miyagi, Tohoku, Japan. It's a half of April in Sendai City - Japan. Sunny but very windy day. I drive next to the museum Chiteinomori surrounded by a small park. Museum portrays life in the Stone Age. I wasn't inside, but maybe someday I will visit this place with my japanese wife Minako. Small park has a Japanese charm.

Late afternoon I was coming home and saw from afar the turret high pagoda. Towered over the environment, so it was hard to miss. It turned out that the great pagoda stands in the middle (in Japanese reality) cemetery - Horinin Temple. In addition to the pagoda there were also other interesting buildings. But it was late afternoon and the cemetery seemed to be closed. But once I will go to Horinin Temple again, to show you this pretty amazing and beautiful cemetery.

企画展 「それでも生きる！ 考古学からみる災害のあと」
2012年秋、地底の森ミュージアム（仙台市富沢遺跡保存館）は企画展 「それでも生きる！ 考古学からみる災害のあと」を開催しました。今回の東日本大地震は1000年に一度の災害といわれていますが、現在も残っているさまざまな遺跡にも、私たちの祖先が受けた自然災害の痕跡が数多く残っています。
先人たちがどのように自然災害の脅威と向き合ってきたのか。そして私たち現代人は、どのように先の震災を記憶にとどめ、未来に残していくべきなのか。今回の展示がそれらを考えるきっかけになればと企画した学芸員の中谷可奈さんにお話を伺いました。
