Chitragupta Temple, an integral part of the Khajuraho Temples, is dedicated to the Sun God (Surya). This temple is located about 91 m towards the north of the Jagadambi Temple and 183 metres southeast of an ancient tank, known as Chopra.
Architecturally, the plan and design of this temple consists of a maha-mandapa, entrance porch, vestibule and a sanctum. Inside the sanctum, visitors can see an attractive idol of God Surya riding a chariot, drawn by seven horses. Three similar figures are also carved on the lintel of the doorway.
The octagonal ceiling of the maha-mandapa is one of its most striking features of the temple. On the walls, you can see beautiful carvings of sura-sundaris and couples in erotic poses. Images of eleven-headed God Vishnu also adorn the walls of the temple.

Architecture
************
The Chitragupta temple is very similar to the nearby Jagadambi temple. It has a sanctum with a circumambulatory path, a vestibule, a maha-mandapa (large hall) with transepts, and an entrance porch. The large hall has an octagonal ceiling, which is more ornate than the corresponding ceiling in the Jagadambi temple. This suggests that the Chitragupta temple was constructed slightly later than the Jagadambi temple. The building has two balconies, and the ascending scale of the roof is not as impressive as that of the larger temples in Khajuraho.

Lakshamana Temple...Khajuraho series (8)
Lakshmana Temple in Khajuraho is categorized under the Western Group of Temples in Khajuraho (Madhya Pradesh). This well-preserved temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. According to the inscription, Lakshmana Temple was built a Chandela ruler by King Yasovarman in the 10th century A.D.Its framework comprises an entrance porch, a mandapa, antrala, maha-mandapa and garbha graha. The rectangular frame of Lakshmana Temple is unique and features subsidiary shrines at the four corners of its platform. The most interesting attribute of the temple is the sanctum which is in the form of a chariot also referred to as the Pancharatha. The sanctum enshrines a three-headed and four-armed image of Vaikuntha Vishnu with a human central head and the side-heads of boar and lion. This Vishnu image was brought from Tibet. The pradkshina path is around the sanctum and is decorated with sculpture all over it. The Lakshmana Temple faces east and the temple stands on a platform which has sculptures depicting court scenes, erotic sculptures, marching armies, elephants and horsemen in procession. The temple's architecture is simply marvellous and its exterior wall exhibits images of over 600 figures. The temple is beautifully decorated with sculptures and the full figures of different forms of women with ornate jewellery.

Adinath Temple Khajuraho (Part 1)
As the name suggests, Adinath temple in Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh is dedicated to Adinath the Jain saint. This is the last of Jain temples built around here. The temple is magnificently decorated with different sculpted figures including those of yakshis.
The Adinath temple is situated adjacent to the Parshvanatha Temple, which is the largest of all the Jain temples in Khajuraho. This Adinath temple has been partly repaired over the centuries. This temple is quite similar to the Hindu temples in Khajuraho. Though a Jain temple, it looks more or less like a Hindu temple owing to its architecture and designing. A black image inside the temple gives the indication of it being a Jain temple. The temple has very fine carvings on its 3 bands of sculptures.
Adinath temple is towards the north of the largest Jain temple, the Parshvanatha temple. It is a small temple; its 'shikhar' is simple with a graceful and elegant auspicious pitcher on the top of it. The temple's sanctum is simple as well and it seems that the altar had been built at some time later than the construction of the temple. The roof is constructed beautifully with lotus like stone, which adds to the beauty of the sanctum sanctorum.
