Blind Christian Beaten by Buddhist Activists in Ladakh, India
This is a video of the interrogation of Ram Kumar Thapa (Solomon) and Stanzin Chospel released by the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA). The video omits footage of beatings received by the two Christians. The reason the LBA released the video was apparently to force the cessation of missionary activity in Ladakh.
Solomon was a blind music teacher for handicapped children in Mahabodhi School in Choglamsar Ladakh where he worked with his blind wife. Two days after the beating he and his wife were removed from their positions in the school and were told by the LBA to leave Ladakh within 2 days.
Stanzin Chospel is a young (25 year old) follower of Christ who came from a Buddhist background and has been a Christian for 4 years.
Solomon has stated that because he was coerced into making untrue statements, much of what he has said in this video is inaccurate.
The beating and interrogation took place on 1 Sept, 2010 in the LBA office in Gompa Soma which is the main Buddhist Temple in Leh Town, Ladakh, J&K State, India.
Stanzin, the other Christian who was interrogated, later said as he was being beaten he was given an ultimatum to convert back to Buddhism.

As of 21 Sept, 2010, no police action had been taken.
