Volcano surfing can be an extreme sport. Potential dangers include falling off and getting cut by the rough volcanic ash, breathing poisonous gasses, contracting histoplasmosis (otherwise known as 'caver's disease')[2], or being hit by flying molten lava. Protective gear, including jumpsuits and goggles, is used. Cerro Negro is also an active volcano, although the last eruption was in 1999. Mt. Yasur is far more dangerous with volcanic eruptions occurring every day.

Popularity of the hike to Trolltunga and rock formation itself has exploded in recent years. The increased popularity has turned Trolltunga into a national icon and a major tourist attraction for the region. Until 2010, fewer than 800 people hiked to Trolltunga each year. In 2016 more than 80,000 people hiked the 27 kilometres round-trip from Skjeggedal, making it one of Norway's most popular hikes.

Whole of China Immersed in New Year Festive Atmosphere
The entire country of China has been immersed in a New Year festive atmosphere and held a variety of activities with local distinctive colors to celebrate the Year of the Monkey.
In north China's Hebei Province, southwest China's Chongqing Municipality and northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, all kinds of activities were held on Monday and Tuesday to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year.
In Beijing, Tianjin and neighboring Hebei province, people flocked to Nuanquan Town, Yuxian County, north China's Hebei Province on Tuesday, the second day of the lunar New Year to enjoy the traditional cultural show there.
The narrow streets of the old town were crowded with tourists, folk art performers and craftsmen.
The town is most famous for its paper-cutting, which has been inscribed in the list of the world intangible cultural heritage. There are currently more than 1,100 paper-cutting artists in Yuxian.
Another attraction of the old town was a traditional New Year program known as iron splashing performance. Performers threw molten iron onto a wall to cre ate sparks that look like a firework display.
Also in Hebei Province, villagers in Zhulu County celebrated the Spring Festival by creating iron splashing in another way. The performers spun two buckets made of iron nets with burning charcoals and chunks of iron in them, creating huge golden rings of sparks of molten iron.
Locals say the practice is dated back to the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
The old town of Ciqikou in Chongqing Municipality, southwest China, was crowded with tourists and locals on the New Year's Day. Walking along the streets of the old town, people could do some sightseeing while having a taste of the local snacks.
The Tujia minority people in a village in the Qianjiang District, Chongqing, greeted the Spring Festival with folk dances.
In northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, people celebrated the Spring Festival with various folk performances such as dragon and lion dances and folk dances.

China High speed Rail to HuaShan north from Xi’An Heading To West Peak
We were in Xi’An, China! On one of our days, we went to the famous Mount Hua (Hua Shan) by public transport. It was an interesting journey, with many transfers, as we were doing it ourselves.
Sequence as follows:
1. Take the Xi'An Metro from our Hotel (Sheraton Xi'An North) to Xi'An North High Speed Rail Station
2. Buy High Speed Rail ticket, take the High Speed Train to HuaShan north Station (120km)
3. From station, took a taxi to visitor center. Along the way, taxi driver brought us to a tour agent to buy our tickets, as the price was the same, and we would be able to skip the queues at the visitor center.
4. Arrive at visitor center, entered the gates, take the blue bus to West Peak Cable Car base station.
5. Arrive at West Peak base station - it was a very long uphill walk (many stairs) to the cable car proper! We took the chair lift to go up.
6. Then we finally get onto the West Peak Cable Car, which brings us to the West Peak.
7. From here, it is on foot - we only visted West and South peaks.
And to get back to Xi'An, do the reverse.
This video covers the first part of the journey. We arrive at Xi'An North High Speed Rail station. Then we buy tickets, and then get into the station itself. The train ride was fairly short, only 30 minutes. We bought some cooked food at the railway station to bring up the mountain to eat. Upon arriving at HuaShan North, we took a taxi, bought tickets from the tour agent, then the taxi driver dropped us off at the visitor center. A short walk to the entrance for tour groups. Once we were in, we boarded the blue bus for the West Peak. The buses move only when they are full. It was a 40 minute ride to the West Peak base station for cable car! And that is where this video ends. More videos of our HuaShan experience below!
We took the chair lift up, to the West Peak Cable Car. This saved us some walking.
Then we took the Cable Car up to the HuaShan West Peak. Check out the hole in the mountain!
Once we reached HuaShan, we started our walk!
Thanks for watching!

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain

SUMMARY
=======
Chongqing (, also US: , Chinese: [ʈʂʰʊ̌ŋ.tɕʰîŋ] (listen)), alternately romanized as Chungking, is a major city in southwest China. Administratively, it is one of China's four municipalities under the direct administration of central government (the other three are Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin), and the only such municipality in China located far away from the coast.Chongqing was a municipality during the Republic of China (ROC) administration, serving as its wartime capital during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945); during this period, Chongqing was listed as one of the world's four anti-fascist command centers, along with Washington, D.C., London and Moscow. The current municipality was recreated on 14 March 1997 to help develop the central and western parts of China. The Chongqing administrative municipality has a population of over 30 million, spread over an area the size of Austria. The city of Chongqing made of 9 urban districts has a much smaller population of 18,384,100 as of 2016 estimation. According to the 2010 census, Chongqing is the most populous Chinese municipality, and also the largest direct-controlled municipality in China, containing 26 districts, eight counties, and four autonomous counties.
The official abbreviation of the city, Yu (渝), was approved by the State Council on 18 April 1997. This abbreviation is derived from the old name of a part of the Jialing River that runs through Chongqing and feeds into the Yangtze River.
Chongqing has a significant history and culture. Being one of China's National Central Cities, it serves as the economic centre of the upstream Yangtze basin. It is a major manufacturing centre and transportation hub; a July 2012 report by the Economist Intelligence Unit described it as one of China's 13 emerging megalopolises.
