Chinese Street Food - Street Food China
I made my way to Chongqing, in search of the best Chinese street food and unique Chinese Sichuan food. I found a ton of street food and specialty Chongqing snacks. Chongqing is in Southwest China, only a 1.5 hour train ride from Chengdu, home of a sub-style of Sichuan cuisine, and the food is fantastic! There was a lot of Chinese street food on every corner. Just like you, I love street food around the world, and I travel for food. I came here to eat!

The Chinese food is so good in Chongqing! I've eaten street food in Bejing, street food in Shanghai, and street food in Chengdu, all of which has been amazing, but I have to say that the chinese street food in Chongqing has been some of the best!

The Chinese Designer behind Hangzhou’s Beautiful Bookstore | A China Icons Video
Her brief was to create a bookstore like no other and wow, did Li Xiang, one of China’s young up-and-coming architect-designers, deliver!
The Zhongshuge-Hangzhou Bookstore opened in 2016, with an estimated 20,000 people visiting the store on opening day.
Split into four distinct areas, the building was the brainchild of award winning designer Li Xiang, described by Forbes as one of China’s most promising designers. A natural architect, Li Xiang has been designing since her teens and has set up her own company XL Muse.
For this project, she was inspired by both Hangzhou’s stunning scenery and the bookstores she visited overseas during her studies.

Traditional Chinese doctors believes that man is a part of nature, thus the operation of Qi and blood in his body is closely connected with the change of Yin and Yang in the world. In order to reach the state which is called nature and human are one unity, man should comply with nature.
Located in southwestern part of China. Chongqing is a city with humid climate, which contributes to the accumulation of Shi Qi in man’s body, which can easily lead to sickness. What can help man’s body eliminate Shi Qi is exactly spicy food.
Chongqing is famous around the world for its spicy food, but actually there are many other flavours here. For example, the taste of lifeology, the taste of history, and the taste of nature. These three flavours intertwined with each other and make up the unique flavour of Chongqing.
GMP'S CHONGQING GRAND THEATER
Chongqing is absolutely awesome!! Wow, all insane expectations were met. We expected raw, tough, huge, enormous. And all of this was exceeded. Between all of this, we visited the Chongqing Grand Theater, designed by GMP architekten (the largest german architecture firm and fully active in China for 2 decades) There is an enormous contrast. This building is pure, enormous and hostile. But boy, does it fit well in Chongqing, exactly because of these contrast. Standing proud on a large podium it overlooks Chongqing. It is visible from the bustling city center and doesnt seem to care. We loved it!

Coronavirus outbreak: Life in Chongqing, China

Our recent visit to a local supermarket was a huge surprise. Shelves got empty, people were rushing to buy everything they need to make sure they have enough food supplies more than they usually store.
I just hope that instead of spreading fear to people, lets spread positivity by featuring the great deal of efforts done to combat this current situation. Yes, it’s okay to report the statistics of those currently infected. But lets not forget to balance it with positivity.
