A year in the city of Kunshan, Jiangsu, China (August 2018 to July 2019). A modern city in between Shanghai and Suzhou, Kunshan is reinventing itself as the intelligent valley. Attracting hundreds of enterprises and world class research facilities (also it is the home of Duke University in China). The city is moving from its kind and semi-rural character and also home of Kun Opera and of many of the most enchanting Water Towns (水乡), to the world stage. With one of the highest per-capita income in China this city (of around 2.5million) wants to rebrand itself as a green and sustainable.
Here some of our own experiences of this affluent and ever changing place.
