RV Travel Life | Carlsbad, NM-Bud's Place RV Park Tour
Bud's Place RV Park is located at:
900 Standpipe Rd
Carlsbad, NM 88220
Their Phone number is: (575) 200-1865
This is a brand new park as of September 2016. The park itself is already really awesome. At the time we were there, they were still working on landscaping. The buildings including bathrooms, office, and laundry were all immaculate. They have a dedicated dog area, with fencing. The WiFi signal is very good (as we are uploading this video with it currently). You can actually stream videos from Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Netflix. The RV park is located 28 miles from Carlsbad National Park (actually one of the closest parks to Carlsbad National Park) and it is just on the edge of Carlsbad, NM. The RV Park is also 2.5 miles from Living Desert Zoo & Gardens State Park.

Spencer Theater Promoting the Arts
07.12.11 (ALTO, NM) -- As we prepare to celebrate New Mexico's centennial we take a look at a venue helping promote the arts.
The Spencer Theater in Alto, New Mexico is quickly becoming a part of the state's rich history.
New Mexico is filled with culture and diversity and nowhere is it more evident than in the southern part of the state, in our own backyard.
The Spencer Theatre that's what we bring to this area and to the whole state of New Mexico, through artists and the performing art there's no other way to express cultural diversity and that's what we're about here, that's our mission is to bring cultural diversity to the patron, said Charles Centilli, executive director of the Spencer Theater for the Performing Arts.
It official opened in 1997, but 15 years went into planning for the 50, 000 square foot facility -- named one of seven outstanding theatres in the world by the United States institute for theatre technology.
When they step into the auditorium it is of course acoustically sound, its very intimated setting, and you're seeing these nationally performances that you normally would see in the 1500 to 3000 seat house, but here you're only in a five hundred seat house so your further seat from the stage is only five feet, he said.
The design of the stage helps make the audience a part of every performance. Leaders say the theatre has become a monument of sorts in the state as people travel from all over just to see it.
This is meant to resemble a glassier. It has a lot of natural light, which is a unique aspect to this theatre. The lobby is 300 paints of glass and its made to look like a prism or a diamond, said Kathleen McDonald, publicist for the facility.
The Spencer Theater hosts about 40 performances a year and is constantly working with local groups and children on programming.
We have featured a lot of New Mexico artist, we have raised the cultural horizon in the area, who have never had the experience with the theater before and to be exposed to a diversity in the arts and different perspectives on life and the human experience, lots of entertaining musicians, comedy and all sorts of works, she said.

Day 19 - Carlsbad, NM to Roswell to Ruidoso to White Sands to Las Cruces, NM
This was a big driving day from Carlsbad to Las Cruces by way of Roswell to Ruidoso and through White Sands. People had said that there is nothing in Roswell. They were right, but I had to see for myself. Ruidoso is a nice little tourist trap for Texans in the hills north of Lincoln Nation Forest. White Sands National Monument is real nice hot place to see. Wish I could have done more driving out on the Dune road but the suspension on my car is too stiff for the wash boarding of the sand. Then it was on to Las Cruces to visit with my cousin aunt on my mother's side
