Naxos as the largest and one of the most beutiful cycladic island has offered much to discover during my 1-day tour to some of its nicest villages - such as Apiranthos, built in marble, and Halki with its famous Kitron liquor distillery - plus other sights, e.g. a thousand-years-old olive tree, one of Europe's oldest churches (Panagia Drossian) and a giant marble quarry, a half-finished colossal marble statue (Kouros) left behind from 2.500 years ago...
