Angoville Au Plain Church Visit
74 years ago, the men who stormed the beaches of Normandy took refuge in the church, leaving stains of blood from injuries and a lasting impression on the town of Angoville Au Plain. Soldiers from the 1st Infantry Division visited the church and experienced that lasting effect.
Band of Brothers - Angoville au Plain
The village church was used as an aid station on D-Day by the 101st. The stained glass gives tribute to liberation and the Screaming Eagles. Blood stains are still visible on some of the pews.

Angoville au Plain, Normandy, Heroics of two medics
Specialty Tours' chief historian Steve Mrozek, explains the location of this small French village and its significance on D-Day. While valor and bravery of those bearing weapons is legendary, the steadfastness of unsung heroes, like the two medics who treated wounded, was invaluable.
