Mieliśmy tylko wpaść do Spili po chleb. Ale usłyszeliśmy muzykę dochodzącą z placyku.????????????
Poszliśmy sprawdzić. I zostaliśmy na kilka godzin świętować Kathara Deftera.
W roboczym stroju i butach dołączyłam do tańca kalamatiano.
Może znajdziecie mnie na filmiku ????????????
We just wanted to buy some bread in Spili.
But we heard a music coming from the square.
We went to check what is happening and stayed there for a few hours to celebrate Clean Monday.
In my trekking clothes and shoes, I joined the locals dancing kalamatiano.

Griechenland - Kloster Toplou (Kreta)
Wie eine kleine Festung erhebt sich das Kloster, das noch heute zu den reichsten der Insel gehört, auf einem Hochplateau 19 km östlich von Sitia. Seine genauen Gründungsdaten verlieren sich im Dunkel der Geschichte. Spätestens im 14. Jh. muss es jedoch errichtet worden sein.
Das Kloster wurde aufwändig rekonstruiert und präsentiert sich heute als kleines Schmuckstück, das zahlreiche Besucher anlockt. Eine wieder hergestellte alte Windmühle im äußeren Hof zeugt davon, dass die Mönche einst Selbstversorger waren und ihr Getreide selbst mahlten.

Die Kirche der Heiligen Vier Märtyrer (Tessaron Martyron) im Zentrum der Stadt Rethymnon ist der Ausgangspunkt für eine religiöse Fahrt durch die Stadt, bei der man die Metropolitankirche der Einführung Mariens in den Tempel (Isodia tis Theotokou), die Kirche der Heiligen Barbara (Agia Varvara), Schutzheilige der Stadt Rethymnon, die Kirche der Dame der Engeln (Kyria ton Angelon), die Kirche des Heiligen Theodoros Trichinas (Agios Theodoros Trichinas) innerhalb der Festung Fortezza, das heilige Kloster der Verklärung des Erlösers (Metamorphoseos Sotiros) in Koumpes und das Heilige Kloster des Heiligen Paulus des Franzosen(Agios Pavlos o Gallos) besuchen kann.
Schöne kleine Kirche inmitten der Altstadt zu gedenken vier Märtyrer.
Die Kirche ist wie viele auf Kreta innen hübsch verziert. Die Malereien an den Wänden sind sehr schön und bedecken jeden Teil der Wände und Decken.
Zum Staunen anzusehen. Die paar Minuten sollte man sich hier Zeit nehmen.
Auf jeden Fall sehenswert.

Orthodox Church Split: Ceremony separates Ukrainian, Russian churches
The Ukrainian Orthodox Church has officially split from the Russian church. At a ceremony in Istanbul, the spiritual head of some 300 million Orthodox Christians signed a decree granting the church independence. Christine Pirovolakis has the story.
