Translation:
What a quiet lad, what a calm rider,
how quietly he enticed away a maiden into the barn.
She wore a green rue wedding crown.
How gently he took away her maidenhood,
how easily he worked off her golden ring.
The boy awoke and sensed danger, -
took a horse and left for war.

The House of Perkūnas is one of the most original and Gothic secular buildings, located in the Old Town of Kaunas, Lithuania.Originally built by Hanseatic merchants and served as their office from 1440 until 1532, it was sold in the 16th century to the Jesuits who had established a chapel there in 1643.The Jesuits have also completed the Church of St.Francis Xavier at the Town Hall Square in 1722.

Padedu augti. World Prematurity Day. Lithuania 2013
2013.11.15
The Parents Association of prematurely born newborns, called Helping to grow together with group of student of the Neonatology Clinic of Kaunas Clinics on 15th of November met with caring parents of the prematurely born newborns.
We donated parents knitted socks, which were knitted by us and by mothers from other Lithuanian cities. We also gave parents an official wooden badge of the World Prematurely Day in Lithuania, symbolizing unfinished newborn circle, who, though born prematurely, is still fully dependent on mother (great circle).
We are happy that we were able to brighten parent's day and to load them with positive emotions. Meanwhile, parent's positive emotions are transferred to the newborns.
Later, in the Hall of the Neonatology Clinic, we thanked doctors, staff and specialists for their unconditional love and their dedication to work. Work, with the help of which, many of us welcome our growing offsprings. The slide show with our grown up children, showed during the event, proved that prematurely born babies are not so sick, and that deceases with which they are ill are the same as have children born in time. Doctors, staff and specialists were very happy, that the real situation is not so catastrophic as shown in statistics (after all, statistics are performed on the basis of data of ill children --those, who had to get back to the hospital).
Two students of the medical sciences presented themselves during the event. Both were born more than 20 years ago, also prematurely -- being at the age of 7 months. They told us that they were barely sick, were very talented, started early to speak and count. And now, being students of medical sciences, they would like to become Neonatology scientists.
2013.11.17 Part I
The mass for prematurely born newborns and for dead newborns and their families were held in Church of St. Francis Xavier (Jesuit) on November 17.
Later, families had gathered in the hall of the Church, where our association was presented, beautiful children played on their violins, the symbol of the World Prematurely Day in Lithuania was presented, and we all, were able to talk calmly with coffee, tea and feasts.
The hall was decorated with purple pom-pom and purple/white balloons, which at the end of the event ascended to the heaven at the Town Hall Square.
2013.11.17 Part II
In 2013, with the initiative of the Parents Association of prematurely born newborns, called Helping to grow and with the help of women's club Ad Astra, CJSC Lempa and event patron Inga Budriene, Lithuania for the first time had joined to the global emitted knowledge about prematurely born neonates and lighted up the symbol of Kaunas city -- Town Hall Square, with purple color. During the event, few songs were sang and tributed for the little ones by Beaujolais chorus. All people were welcomed with delicious tea with milk.

Вокруг Ратуши часто устраиваются уличные праздники, ярмарки и концерты.
