The Cathedral was originally erected as a response to the area's growing number of Eastern Orthodox Christians.
The gorgeous belfry was not built to its present form until over fifty years after the initial construction of the cathedral had ended.

Bulgarian monastery - Sokolski monastery
Sokolski Monastery is located on the Balkan mountain near the town of Gabrovo and historical-ethnographic complex Etara. Etara is also called the City of the Masters or the City of Craftsmen.
Before the appearance of the monastery in 1834, a small church was built here. During forty years, new buildings have appeared here. Thus there was the monastery of the Assumption of the Virgin.
In the twilight of the Ottoman Empire at the monastery often stayed Bulgarian partisans who fought against the Turks.
During the Russian-Turkish war, the monastery was used as hospital.
It was originally built as a mens monastery but in 1959 it was turned into a convent.

THE BACHKOVO MONASTERY,BULGARIA
The Bachkovo Monastery Assumption of the Virgin is located in the southern part of the village Bachkovo, 10 kilometers south of Asenovgrad. The monastery was founded in 1083 by the Georgian Gregoriy Bakuriani, who donated the land. For a long time the monastery was Georgian. The two-story ossuary some 400 meters from the monastery was built during the monastery's earliest days.
At the end of the 12th century and the beginning of the 13th century, The Holy Archangels Church was built, for services during the winter months. It was attached to the terrace on the second floor of the west wing where the monks had their cells. It is thought that after the fall of Bulgaria to the Ottomans at the end of the 14th century, Eftimiy, Bulgaria's last patriarch, was exiled to the Bachkovo Monastery.
Construction on the new monastery began at the end of the 16th century, most likely with the eastern wing and the fortified main entrance. In 1601, the southern wing was rebuilt, where the refectory now stands, with its spacious dining area and marble table. Visitors will note that the year of the table's construction is carved on it. In 1864, a mural was painted on the northern wall of the dining hall, The Presentation of the Miraculous Icon. In 1604, The Assumption of the Virgin Cathedral was constructed, which has three naves, an apse, a narthex, and a cupola.

The palace Evksinograd is located on the northern side of the Primorski Park in Varna, a small isthmus.
One of the most beautiful places of Evksinograd is its park. It occupies over 550 acres out of a total of 800 at the residence. Initially, the whole territory of the Trakata area to Cape Chatalhash is surrounded by a three-meter stone wall with a total length of 3 km. The construction of the park began in 1888 under a project by the French dendrologist Noymeier of the Taranto Forestry Academy in Germany. The first stage covered the period 1890-1914. The Frenchman Jean Man Morriez and the Czechs Anton Kraus and Josef Kreuzan were working on the park. The Bulgarian Dimitar Georgiev also participated. The initial planning was done by the French park builders Edward Andre and Henri Martinez. Then there are other French architects and landscapers working on it.

SUMMARY
=======
Nesebar (often transcribed as Nessebar and sometimes as Nesebur, Bulgarian: Несебър, pronounced [nɛˈsɛbɐr]) is an ancient city and one of the major seaside resorts on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, located in Burgas Province. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous Nesebar Municipality. Often referred to as the Pearl of the Black Sea, Nesebar is a rich city-museum defined by more than three millennia of ever-changing history. The small city exists in two parts separated by a narrow man-made isthmus with the ancient part of the settlement on the peninsula (previously an island), and the more modern section (i.e. hotels, later development) on the mainland side. The older part bears evidence of occupation by a variety of different civilisations over the course of its existence.
It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations and seaports on the Black Sea, in what has become a popular area with several large resorts—the largest, Sunny Beach, is situated immediately to the north of Nesebar.
Nesebar has on several occasions found itself on the frontier of a threatened empire, and as such it is a town with a rich history. Due to the city's abundance of historic buildings, UNESCO came to include Nesebar in its list of World Heritage Sites in 1983.As of December 2009, the town has a population of 11,626 inhabitants.
