Brandon Lacasse Runs Away With Cullman County Golf Championship
Brandon Lacasse documented that his 1st round 66 was no fluke on Sunday. He posted his second straight 66 against a strong field in the 21st annual Cullman County Golf Championship played at Cross Creek Golf Course.
That put Lacasse an astonishing 12 under par over the two rounds of competitive play.
Defending champion Luke Wilson closed like a freight train on Sunday with a five under 67. That finish made him runner-up in the Championship flight.
Anthony Lumpkin and Connor Bruce were remarkably consistent with scores of 72-20 over the two days of play. They finished T-3 in the Championship flight.
Dan York delivered a clutch final round 69 (-3)
to take the 1st flight by two shots over runners-up Bo Blackwell and Trey Haney.
Houston Pierce shocked the entire field in the 1st flight with his epic Hole-In-One on Sunday. THe ace occurred on the Par 3 third hole.

In the 3rd & final flight, Jason Hobbs managed to capture first prize in spite of his dense 95 on Sunday. He won by two strokes over a fast closing John Harris.
Hero of the 3rd flight was Wally Williams. He recovered from his unsightly, sleep deprivation generated 110 on Saturday. On Sunday, he bounced all the way back, gaining 20 strokes with a 90.
Cullman Golf celebrity Bob Kurtz is a machine. He shot his age (76) again Sunday in the 2nd Flight.
In the following interview series, we speak with the runaway winner Brandon Lacasse, Cross Creek Head Professional Ches Harris, the game runner-up Luke Wilson and a couple of guys holding up the 19th hole:
