Divin@tion in 33revs by Laura Cristin & Dario Della Rossa
DivinAtion in 33 revs: performance of Laura Cristin in the Music of Dario Della Rossa in Abano Terme (Padua), KURSAAL gallery, on Sunday September 28th, 2008, 6.30 p.m. for the opening of the exhibition XX.9.12 Vinyl Archive
While in Ireland, I had thought at a 33 revs record, showing the Green of my visions and emotions up there, to bring home with me. The idea of making an ephemeral vinyl with my actions, comes from the recording by heART of that very moment.
The performance DivinAtion in 33 revs comes with the intent of continuing the life of the record G makes D (alias : Sol Re Fa, side B: Re Fa Sol) that I made in 2007 for the Vinyl Archive XX.9.12, with an ephemeral vinyl in Green. After the experience in Ireland (July 2008: for an art residency in Ballinskelligs at Cill Rialaig Project) and in Calabria (August 2008: with the live Music of Dario Della Rossa, Eugenio Colombo, Mirko Onofrio and other musicians taking part in the 4° International Meeting of Performing Arts Le arti del gesto in S. Severina, KR), I wanted to start from the centre of my body/soul, set in Green Mode, Sin Palabras (without words), turning around in the rhythm of the music Santa Severina (virb.com/dariodellarossa) that was composed/played at the piano by Dario Della Rossa in the Salone della Nobiltà of the Castle as a Private/Public performance at the end of the Festival. I wanted to be open to the context with an involving DivinAtion in Sol La Re (=sunny)that starts from the heart and after 33 metaphorical revolutions, goes back to it, where one can find the Divine that anybody owns, and that I have felt as Princess while looking at Ionio Sea from the Castle, in the concreteness of Time.

what a load of Bolus
Spent a bit of time working in Kerry in Ireland for Chill Rialaig Arts Centre. When it was too early to go to the pub, I cycled. This part of Ireland is called Bolus Head, it's the most western part of Europe. [the sights would have been better if I could have bothered to cycle more. I did not]
Vision_of_Bally 2013

My Lord Buddha of Carraig Éanna
A short film examining a section of poetry by my father, Paddy Bushe.
A plaster-cast, mass-produced, garden centre Buddha is the centrepiece of My Lord Buddha of Carraig Éanna, a film made in the extraordinary landscape and seascape of Ballinskelligs Bay in Kerry. With the help of fellow-poet John F Deane, Paddy Bushe explores those surroundings through a series of poems he wrote about the statue. The camera follows this exploration and the film touches also on the wider world of history and philosophy as they might be seen through the eyes of a new comer from the East who has settled on a cliff-top overlooking the Atlantic.

ROBERT ROANE BEARD in a group exhibition, View Four, AT NICOLE FIACCO GALLERY - Medium.m4v
The Nicole Fiacco Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of abstract paintings and works on paper by Robert Roane Beard, Stephen Courbois, Jeanette Fintz and Enrique Kico Govantes.
Robert Roane Beard will exhibit works from his ongoing Irish Landscape series. The small, jewel-toned watercolor and ink works on paper are an investigation of meandering lines that toy with the abstract shapes that stand-in as alternate ways of seeing air, earth, water and other forms found in nature. Mr Beard recently was awarded a residency at the world renowned artist colony, Cill Rialaig Project in County Kerry, Ireland. Beard has also created installation works, including Thinking of You, a meditation on friends lost to AIDS, which appeared in Milan, Turin, and New York to unanimous critical acclaim. His work has been exhibited internationally at venues including the Chelsea Arts Club, London; the National Academy of Design, New York and he is currently preparing for a solo exhibition in Dublin, Ireland in 2010. Robert Beard lives in New York and the Hudson Valley.
