RRJHPSSSS 09Glen Roy
Parallel Roads of Glen Roy.Most famous geological riddle in British Isles till recent times.Look for the arrow straight 3 parallel line along both sides of the glen.Till recent times it was thought to made by Gods to travel their chariots!!!
Now we know they are the three different shore lines of an ancient Glacial Lake. The lake was formed when the river at the floor of Glen Roy was blocked by an advancing glacier during the ice age.
From 1:30 it was filmed on the First of the Three Lines. You can clearly see them on the other side of the glen & when zoomed.
Touring the Scottish Highlands in and around Loch Laggan
Touring through the Scottish Highland and driving down A86 we stop a the Laggan Hydro Dam and then further down the road we come across the Cille Choirill Church Graveyard Cemetery up on hillside. The church is one of filming sites for the BBC series Monarch of the Glen. It was the site of Hector MacDonald's funeral was shot, as well as scenes from Archie and Lexie's wedding. The area is stunning!

Scotland quick video Tulloch Farm and Braemar
Just a quick video of my dearly beloved Scotland. The footage is shot in the valley of the river Spean (Glen Spean) and near Braemar. The first few days there was not much in the way of snow and the mercury reached 11 C! But the last 4 days became more wintry with snow in the morning and at night. In Braemar, on our last day, we had a nice snowfront coming in!
