TRAILER VIDEO
Shorts International is proud to present THE SEED, directed by Linkin Park's DJ Joseph Hahn. Hahn, whose directorial credits include such award-winning videos as Linkin Park’s “In The End” (2002’s VMA “Video of the Year” winner) and “Somewhere I Belong” (2003’s VMA “Best Rock Video” winner), as well as music clips for Xzibit, Story Of The Year and Alkaline Trio, as well as Linkin Park's videos for the smash hits “What I’ve Done,” “Bleed It Out” and “Shadow of the Day” off their double-platinum-selling Minutes to Midnight album. Musically, THE SEED features two untitled original compositions by Hahn as well as a track (“There They Go”) from Fort Minor, the side project fronted by Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda. Discussing the film’s impetus, Hahn says, “I saw a homeless guy having an argument with someone who clearly wasn't there. I wondered what it would look like to see the fight through his eyes. What if what he was seeing was real? Who does he think is out to get him?” THE SEED tells the story of Sung, portrayed by Will Yun Lee (Torque, Elektra, Die Another Day, “CSI,” “Bionic Woman”), a homeless veteran losing his mind on the banks of the L.A. River. Pursued by unseen forces, fighting unseen foes, Sung is ostensibly “just another lunatic.” But as his invisible war continues under bridges and in tunnels, the viewer is taken deeper into his nightmare—into a nightmare of conspiracy, cloaking and the government's unseen war. Sung struggles to fight through what is visible to him, yet invisible to the world around him. THE SEED premiered at the 11th annual Pusan International Film Festival in 2006 and has shown at numerous festivals including the Festivus Film Festival in Denver, CO where it won Best Short Short in 2008 and the Veneration Film Festival in Newport News where Hahn took the award for Outstanding Cinematography in 2007. Upcoming festivals include The San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival, The Malibu Film Festival, The Beverly Hills Film Festival, The Los Angeles United Film Festival and the Swansea Bay Film Festival in England. After attending Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA for illustration, Joe pursued a career in special effects in television and film before joining Linkin Park in 1996. Hahn says, “My love for film actually comes from my love for comic books as a kid. I used to not eat lunch so I could spend that money on comics. Eventually, as I got older and wiser, I started to correlate the similarities of graphic storytelling to cinema.” THE SEED is Hahn's first foray into directing short films.

Ichiro is living far from home in rainy England, where the only language he understands is football. Jamael is struggling to focus on training while caring for his little sister. Ashley trains six days a week and his girlfriend wants him to spend Sundays with her. Titch sits alone in the changing room long after the floodlights have been switched off. Their coach thinks he knows it all. The team's psychologist knows he has a lot to learn.
Six talented young footballers face their final months in a youth training academy, all with the same question weighing on their mind - who will get a contract?
Result is a powerful new play that explores the emotion behind every kick; a world in which dreams are built or destroyed in ninety minutes. A world in which the score means everything and failure is not an option. Where physical strength is celebrated but mental health is often ignored.
Inspired by the career of a Premier League sports psychologist, Sketty Theatre crosses raw text and striking movement with an original score to explore the cut-throat passion, raucous camaraderie and frightening pressures of the beautiful game.
The Heart Of A Cornish Man Engine
The Heart of a Cornish Man Engine
The Man Engine has been celebrating Cornish Mining World Heritage along with tens of thousands of locals, team members and holiday makers in the beautiful South West of England. Fatcalf followed where the ‘Big Man’ led and was able to film the events and some of the awesome and majestic landscape and mining heritage along the South West Coast Path around Helston, Penzance, St Just and Land’s End.
The film was really brought to life by the song Cornish Heart written and produced by Loveridge for Loveridge Music.
Thanks to all the hard working teams who enabled The Man Engine to come to life and rise from his slumber to help re-engage so many people with the History and Heritage of Tin Mining in Cornwall and West Devon. From Tavistock to Geevor, Tamar Valley to Land's End, 130 miles in 2 weeks must have been an amazing time for you Yn Kernow.

iShed Reviews TWIN TOWN (1997)
Nick Stradling of WALES in the MOVIES' iShed Reviews the classic 1997 Welsh film directed by Kevin Allen and starring Rhys Ifans, Llyr Ifans, Dougray Scott and William Thomas.
Despite what Tom Cruise may think, this is not a Scottish film! Set in Swansea ('Abertawe' in Welsh) this tells the story of two tearaway brothers who seek revenge on a local kingpin for denying their crippled father a work insurance payment.
Though a thriller in pitch and premise, TWIN TOWN is one of the funniest, maybe THE funniest British films of the 90s - and the first Welsh feature film in two generations.
This is the first of many Welsh films from 1922 - present day getting full review and dissection treatment on WALES in the MOVIES. Next up? Justin Kerrigan's HUMAN TRAFFIC (1999)
Thanks for watching iShed and WALES in the MOVIES. Nick would love to read your comments and feedback. If you enjoy the video, please let me know. Below are some links of interest:

THE SHORT FILM
Director: Colin Chilvers
Primary Production Location: Los Angeles, California
Michael Jackson's short film for Smooth Criminal was the sixth of nine short films produced for recordings from Bad, one of the best selling albums of all time. The Smooth Criminal single hit No. 1 in Spain and The Netherlands and reached the Top 10 in the UnitedStates, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ireland and Switzerland. In the United States, Smooth Criminal reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100-the sixth single from Bad to do so-as well as Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles charts.
In addition to being a standalone short film, Smooth Criminal became the centerpiece of Michael's most ambitious film project at the time, Moonwalker, a feature-length film that was released theatrically in various countries outside of the United States. In the Smooth Criminal portion of the film, Michael and his friends face off against the notorious drug lord Mr. Big (Joe Pesci) and attempt to foil his plot to get the children of the world hooked on drugs-but of course, in the end, Michael defeats the villain.
The musical portion of Smooth Criminal takes place in the magical Club '30s, where Michael instructed his friends to meet him. While Katie (Kellie Parker), Zeke (Brandon Adams) and Sean (Sean Lennon) find the club to belong abandoned, Club '30s springs to life when Michael shows up, wearing a blue and white pinstripe suit and fedora.
As the kids watch through the window, Michael flips a coin into the jukebox and leads the club patrons through a dazzling performance to Smooth Criminal. Here, Michael shows off updated versions of his signature dance moves. He also debuts one of his most iconic dance moves: the anti-gravity lean, a seemingly impossible move.

Best Marriage Proposal Video Ever - Mitchel & Laura
This video is a wedding proposal to Laura Mitchel at Cinema & Co in Swansea, this had been planned for over two months and Laura didn't know anything about it until she saw Mitchel's picture on the big screen, she thought she was going to watch the new Jungle Book movie with Mitchel's brother and friends at this new venue they’d heard of, little did she know that Mitchel’s sister, family and friends where setting up to secretly arrive through the back door to sit down behind her while she was watching trailers on the screen for four minutes, the film produced by Creative Visuals was then played to the end where Mitchel would then get up and propose in front of all her family and friends, luckily for us the answer was YES so we all celebrated with a glass of champagne or two, the entire night was also filmed by Creative Visuals and will appear her soon. Enjoy.
