CIRCLE ART GALLERY | FASHION HUB EXTRA
A photo is worth a 1000words and some can have a value of 0.5MKsh. There is a certain unexplainable interest when it comes to photography, which KellyWeils will soon find out when he wanders off to one of the most incredible photography exhibition, Circe Art Gallery.
The Beauty of photographs is that it holds valuable memories and emotions in which the mind wants to encode it.

Art Collection Depicts Africa as a Woman Being Lured by China
Kenyan artist Michael Soi is criticizing China's relationship with Africa through his collection of paintings at Nairobi's Circle Art Gallery that depict the interest that China is showing in Africa. The 74-piece collection underscores China’s heavy involvement in the continent by depicting Africa as a woman being lured by China.

Vancouver artist unveils Gumhead sculpture
For the forthcoming NEXT exhibition, and in conjunction with Douglas Coupland's solo exhibition, the Vancouver Art Gallery has commissioned a site-specific public sculpture located on the grassy mound on the Howe Street side of the Gallery. Gumhead is a seven-foot tall self-portrait that the artist has described as a gum-based, crowd-sourced, publically interactive, social-sculpture self-portrait.
Viewers and passersby are encouraged to apply their own chewed gum to the sculpture so that over the summer months it is transformed, eventually obscuring the artist's face.
Coupland often involves others in making his art and also relies on everyday objects—such as gum—as the very materials of his work, playfully implicating mass culture with respect to the medium, subject and process of his art.
Organized by the Vancouver Art Gallery and curated by Daina Augaitis, Chief Curator/Associate Director
