Wir starten unseren Rundgang durch Kehl am Rhein auf dem Marktplatz und gehen zunächst einmal rund um die Kirche in die Hauptstraße bis zum Rathaus. Dann geht es weiter durch die Großherzog Friedrich Straße bis Am Läger. Über die Marktstraße und den Marktplatz gehen wir dann in die Hauptstraße in die andere Richtung bis zum Bahnhof. We walk through the city of Kehl at the river Rhine and nearby to France in the Southwest of Germany.

Germany: Police ramp up border control in Kehl after Strasbourg shooting
German police tightened the border control across the Rhine from Strasbourg in Kehl on Tuesday night, in order to prevent the possible escape of the Strasbourg shooting suspect that killed two people and left 14 injured.
Footage shows that at the border crossing on the B28 in Baden-Wuerttemberg, all incoming cars and lorries were examined by armed police. Luggage compartments and back areas were also inspected.
The gunman, who was reportedly already known to the police, opened fire at around 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT) near the Christmas market in Strasbourg, and is being actively sought by the authorities.
Police have confirmed that the suspect is a 29-year-old male and a native of the city.
A terror investigation has been opened by France’s counter terrorism prosecutor.

For the fourth month in a row, activists in cities throughout Germany staged protests to spur the government to do more to create jobs.
German and French unemployed met for a joint protest on the Rhine bridge between Kehl and Strasbourg.
The river here marks the German-French border.
More than 500 unemployed came from various cities in the Baden-Wuerttemberg state in southwest Germany.
Rowdy demonstrators also came from the Alsace region and French cities of Paris and Metz.

The protest took place on the day Germany's federal labour office published the latest unemployment numbers.
The unemployment rate has dropped to 11.4 per cent in the last month - from 12.1 per cent in March.
Some 4.42 million people were out of work in April, 202,700 less than the month before, but 74-thousand more than in April last year.
This is a record high for that month since the end of World War Two.
In western Germany, the unemployment rate sank from 9.8 per cent to 9.5 per cent.
However, in the former communist east the rate increased from 17.7 per cent to 19.4 per cent.

We are parked very near the Rhine and the traffic coming towards the camera is headed for France and the traffic going away from the camera has just come from France. and is headed into Germany. I am seated in a Viking tour bus and captured this footage while we were waiting for our tour bus to start our tour of Strasbourg.

STREET VIEW: Innenstadt von Offenburg in GERMANY
Wir starten auf der Brücke über dem Mühlbach in der Hauptstraße von Offenburg. Wir gehen die Hauptstraße entlang bis zur Stadtkirche Offenburg. Dann ging es weiter über die Okenstrasse und den Zwingerplatz in die Wasserstraße. Von dort ging es dann über die Wolkengasse an der Kreuzkirche vorbei bis zum Marktplatz. Vom Marktplatz ging es weiter über die Kornstraße bis zum Park am Mühlbachtal.
Offenburg is at the western end of the Black Forest in Germany and nearby to the French border and the French city of Straßbourg.
