Being in the heart of Launceston, City Park attracts many locals and visitors. It is huge and green, populated with old Oak trees. There is the Maquac Monkeys, conservatory, band stand, BBQ's, excellent playground and pond. Each weekend the park is full of people enjoying the outdoors, weddings, kids and families.

During my Summer holidays in Tasmania, my family and I visited this beautiful City Park. Free entrance to this tourist attraction, We enjoyed looking at the Japanese Macaques monkeys
Launceston City Park is a park in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. It became sister city with Ikeda City in Japan in 1965. Snow monkeys or Japanese Macaques were given to Launceston City Council as a gift. They have brown-grey fur, red face and short tails. These monkeys have adapted well to life in Launceston’s City Park. They are extremely popular with locals and tourists alike
The John Hart Conservatory is another attraction in the City Park with beautiful horticultural display inside and beautiful flowers and statues outside. It iwas rated as one of the top ten parks in Australia.

Prince's Square is a park in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. Established in 1858 from a disused brickfield it is now an important part of cultural life in Launceston and also a heritage park. The park is known for its symmetrical planning and the bronze gilded Val d'Osne Fountain. The park is bound on all four sides by Elizabeth Street, St John Street, Frederick Street and Charles Street.
