scooter thailand day 7 phetchaburi to suphanburi
Thailand day7 - we slept so good last night. After the delays of yesterday, today was a relaxed ride thru the paddy fields and backroads. We stopped at the Khao Ngu stone park, the temple is in a cave and the buddha is built into the rock and is huge. We crossed the Mae Klong river, and continued thru endless paddy fields, following the water channels and some very dodgy roads to Suphan Buri. We will spend 2 nights in Suphan Buri, and have a rest day tomorrow.

Wat Khae Suphanburi - wasp and nest
We revisited Wat Khae in Suphanburi. There's a huge wasp statue, on which Luang Po Kong is riding - he's in the lineage of the epic and historical monk/magician/warrior Khun Paen. We noticed this insanely huge wasps nest in the tree, which we hadn't seen before. Wasps nests are lucky, so you'll see them hanging outside of businesses or homes - these are real nests. This one is so huge that I wasn't convinced it was real, but Kevin thinks I'm being ridiculous because all those other nests I mentioned are real. I'm not willing to shimmy up the tree to figure out the final answer on that, but I could totally curl up inside this nest, it's that big.
