Gozo Sightseeing Hop On, Hop Off
While the hop on, hop off tour concept has been a mainstay in many European cities for quite a while, this relatively new service offered exclusively by MaltaSightSeeing is a first for Malta and more recently Gozo. While Malta's size should make it a relatively easy place to explore, public transport is all focused on linking all of Malta with Valletta and all of Gozo with Victoria and there is no other real practical option for tourists looking to visit multiple towns (even through scenic secondary roads) without having to retreat back to Valletta or Victoria each time.
The Malta and Gozo SightSeeing hop on, hop off service addresses this issue and offers a practical tour service linking all the popular places of interest on the Maltese islands and more. The buses are a mix of modern and retro double deckers with an open top...a feature that can be used for the 300 days of sunshine Malta gets every year.

Azure Window Highlights and Victoria Gozo Malta
Azure Window and Victoria Gozo Malta Highlights is another video in my Malta Tourist Information series.
Please take a look at them all at
It’s just €1:50 for any bus journey in Malta, so we took the bus to the MGarr Ferry Terminal for a day out to Gozo.
We bought return tickets, costing only €4:65 each, which makes for a very low cost day out.
Crossing to Gozo from Malta on the Ferry was a relaxing journey,
from the modern cruise terminal in Malta,
to the crossing on a spacious boat with all amenities.
The crossing took about 25 minutes and was a good sightseeing opportunity with stunning views.
Once in Gozo, we caught the bus to The Azure Window and Inland Sea at the far end of Gozo at SAN Lawrenz,
again only €1:50 single, and it took best part of an hour to get to there.
For only €4 we had the most exciting 20 minutes boat ride ever
from boarding at the inland sea
and cruising through the rocky cliffs
to the open sea and the Azure Window.
Here’s the highlights.
As we return to the Inland Sea, You have to agree that for €4 that was good value.
Now to get the bus back into Victoria the Capital of Gozo to find more adventure, where we explored the many Squares to relax in with a coffee, explore the narrow lanes, and explored the town.
We could have toured Gozo in the Gozo sightseeing bus or hired a Cycle, but we had a bus to take to catch the Ferry back to Malta.
If you have found this video usefull, please give me a thumbs up and consider pressing the subscribe button, you will then be notified whenever I upload the next video of the beautiful Island of Malta.

Malta Gozo Victoria street walk 50FPS 1080P
Walking around the streets of Victoria including Cittadella
Gozo ferry and the Citadel, March 2017
We cross from Malta to its sister island of Gozo by car ferry for a tour of the island’s ancient citadel (Ċitadella) in the capital city of Victoria (Rabat)[3:47]. We walk along the entire length of the walls around the citadel and enjoy the amazing views on this sunny spring morning. It would be a good idea to start with a visit to the Cittadella's Visitor Centre[4:22] to learn about some of its history and that of Gozo. On this video we visit some of the other attractions such as medieval walls, St. Barbara’s Chapel[10:26], St. Joseph’s Chapel[19:18], the medieval archway[19:28], sally ports[9:23] and [21:57], the ditch[22:45] and the Cathedral of the Assumption, with its trompe-l'œil painting that gives the impression of a dome on the flat ceiling[21:00]. We also enter two of the three large grain silos[13:00] that were cut in the early 1600s and then converted into water cisterns in the nineteenth century. Access to the silos is through the rock-cut tunnel that leads down to the battery located north of St. John's Bastion.
Sightseeing on Gozo
Sightseeing on the Maltese island of Gozo. This island in the Mediterranean is beautiful and filled with character. It's easily done on a day trip from Malta but if I had more time, would like to stay a night or so.
The hop on, hop off bus offers easy access everywhere unless you're more serious and wish to rent a car. Do spend some time in Victoria as every little lane leads somewhere so get involved. Also, the citadel offers great views of basically the entire island.
