Walking tour of Venice Canal in Los Angeles California
Secreted away from the hustle and bustle of the famous boardwalk, the picturesque canals of Venice, California, are one of the seaside community's hidden charms. But in Venice's early years, the canals that survive today were only a sideshow. The main attraction – the original canals of Abbot Kinney's Venice of America – are lost to history, long ago filled in and now disguised as residential streets.
In planning Venice of America, Kinney incorporated several references to the community's Mediterranean namesake, from the Italianate architecture to his fanciful notion of launching a cultural renaissance there. But Venice of America would not have lived up to its name were it not for its canals.
When it opened on July 4, 1905, Venice of America boasted seven distinct canals arranged in an irregular grid pattern, as seen below in Kinney's master plan for the community. Totaling nearly two miles and dredged out of former saltwater marshlands, the canals encircled four islands, including the tiny triangular United States Island. The widest of them, appropriately named Grand Canal, terminated at a large saltwater lagoon. Three of the smaller canals referred to celestial bodies: Aldebaran, Venus, and Altair.

Tropical Jungle of the U.S. Botanic Garden Walking Tour in 4K: Washington, D.C.
Steeped in history, rich with tradition, the United States Botanic Garden (USBG) is a living plant museum that informs visitors about the importance, and often irreplaceable value, of plants to the well-being of humans and to earth's fragile ecosystems.
More than 200 years ago, George Washington had a vision for the capital city of the United States that included a botanic garden that would demonstrate and promote the importance of plants to the young nation. Established by the U.S. Congress in 1820, the U.S. Botanic Garden is one of the oldest botanic gardens in North America. Since 1934, it has been administered through the Architect of the Capitol.
The Garden has been recognized as a museum and is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. This accreditation is a widely recognized seal of approval that recognizes a museum's commitment to excellence, accountability, high professional standards and continued institutional improvement.

*Thank you for the many comments & bringing this heartbreaking situation to light - a few answers to Q's I've been getting lately
1. How come the camera so close? Because it was so loud down there I couldn't hear them.
2. Why did I make the video? Because I was down there meeting with a substance abuse counselor about a friend and couldn't believe what I was seeing! I whipped out my phone & just started recording. I felt compelled to capture what what happening and let some of these people tell their story. Nothing was planned or scripted.
3. Was it dangerous? Absolutely! I almost got jumped numerous times but was able to talk my way out of it and one time literally had to run & escape. (no joke)
4. Have I been in contact with any of them since? No, they all have my contact info but have never reached out. I have tried to call some of them with no luck. I don't know if they are alive or dead, in prison or if they ever made it out of Skid Row.
5. What's up with the money stack clip? Ha, I was kidding around, that's me at the bank and not sure why I threw it in - but sort of a comparison to the street life he was describing and what it's like to have a real job & bank account & responsibilities (like me) ... I never thought the vid would take off like it is or I would have made it nicer, better camera work, audio, editing, etc. But apparently people want to see it and I know longer have the original files so it is what it is.
6. Again, thank you for your support - please refrain from attacking each other in the comments, avoid hate speech and racism, this affects everyone, all ages, colors & backgrounds. IT's a sad scary place down there and my opinion is that cops & government are not doing enough to stop the drugs - they could declare war on those dealers and stamp them out, second is the welfare system is way too loose - they are giving away food & money and allowing people to trade it for drugs. Free housing turns into dope spots. If they get free handouts & housing then they must stay clean & test clean. If you keep doing the drugs then cut them off. Tough love.
Please keep watching, liking, sharing & comment - your opinion matters and your voice deserves to be heard!

Exploring Ojai: Arts, hiking, funky shopping and travel tips for this hip California town
From Los Angeles, Ojai, Calif., is an easy road trip of 80 miles, but it feels like an eternity away from the hustle and bustle. Nestled among the mountains and orange groves, the peaceful mountain town of Ojai is a true melting pot for artists, musicians and outdoor enthusiasts.
Things to Do
Grab some coffee from Ojai Coffee Roasting Company to get the pep for your day, and stroll the town to check out the local art culture. Ojai is an arts town; there's even space in the city hall where a rotating art exhibit features the work of local artists. Over at The Ojai Art Center, which holds the distinction of being the longest continuously operated multi-disciplinary art center in the United States, you'll find exhibitions, art workshops and theater performances. Wander down Ojai's side sreets to explore the studios of working artists; many of them will open their studios upon request. The Ojai Studio Artists non-profit organization hosts a studio tour in the fall, but can also be a wonderful source for getting closer to the town's art scene.
Besides the arts scene, Ojai is known for its many beautiful parks, and in the middle of it all is Libbey Park. Located in the center of town, Libbey Park is host to many of the city's cultural events, including the Ojai Music Festival, an event with a unique approach that rotates musical directors and a mix of classic and contemporary music.
Video: Exploring Ojai
Ojai's valley location, surrounded by mountains, means amazing hiking trails with gorgeous mountain views and ample opportunities to encounter wildlife. Some of the trails start right in downtown, and there are trails of all difficulty, whether you're seeking a family hike or a quad-burning mountain climb. For a relatively quick excursion that offers easy access to great overlook views of the city, head to the Shelf Road Trail.
All of the hiking is sure to build an appetite, though, so renew your energy with tapas at Azu or a meal at The Garden Terrace. Unsure where to eat? Take an Ojai food tour and you'll find yourself in the kitchens and talking to local chefs and culinary masters.
After lunch, browse the downtown shopping for a bit of Ojai to take home. Most of Ojai's shops and boutiques are located in and around the main shopping arcade right in the center of town. Inside these boutiques, like jewelry maker Love Heals, the focus is on artisan-style quality and uniqueness. You'll find that same sense of curated, quality goods at Rains of Ojai. A fixture in the town since 1914, Rains is filled with kitchen, home and garden accessories, clothing and gifts.
After a day of exploring, shopping and hiking, the luxurious four-hand massages and relaxing yoga classes at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa are a much-deserved treat. Ojai is an active town, and there are plenty of recreational options on this 220-acre luxury resort, including golf and tennis, Pilates workouts, swimming, horseback riding and hiking, art classes and even a camp for any children in the party.
Lodging and Accommodations
Besides the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa, which has a number of luxury penthouses in addition to its 308 rooms and suites, Ojai's hotels and lodging options tend to favor smaller, boutique and independently-owned inns and bed-and-breakfast establishments. You'll find even more options if you are willing to spend the night in the nearby (and larger) towns of Ventura and Oxnard, Calif., both of which are on the Pacific coast.
Thank you for joining me on my Ojai adventure. If you would like to find out more about this trip and others like it, visit

Walking around San Francisco
November 25, 2015: First birthday in San Francisco after 20 years. Went to the city alone to check some places I haven't been before. Took the bart from the east bay and got off at powell. Walked to the Painted ladies to City Hall to Union Square to Pier 39 and all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge. Took me half of the day. Walked around 10 miles in total.

Walking around London LiverPool Station to The Shard | 4k | Ambient Music
Hey Guys, here is the music version of when I took a trip to London, which is by the way one of my favorite places to walk around and take in the sights. Here is a walking tour from LiverPool Station, through the banking district, along the river thames, across Tower Bridge, and to the Shard. Everything is filmed in 4k using the DJI osmo Mobile 2 and a Gopro Hero 6.
Info On London:
London (/ˈlʌndən/ (About this sound listen) LUN-dən) is the capital and most populous city of England and the United Kingdom.[8][9] Standing on the River Thames in the south east of the island of Great Britain, London has been a major settlement for two millennia. It was founded by the Romans, who named it Londinium.[10] London's ancient core, the City of London, largely retains its 1.12-square-mile (2.9 km2) medieval boundaries. Since at least the 19th century, London has also referred to the metropolis around this core, historically split between Middlesex, Essex, Surrey, Kent and Hertfordshire,[11][12][13] which today largely makes up Greater London,[14][15][note 1] a region governed by the Mayor of London and the London Assembly.[16][note 2][17]
London is a leading global city[18][19] in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media, professional services, research and development, tourism and transportation.[20][21][22] It is the world's largest financial centre[23][24][25][26] and has the fifth or sixth largest metropolitan area GDP in the world.[note 3][27][28] London is often regarded as a world cultural capital.[29][30][31] It is the world's most-visited city as measured by international arrivals[32] and has the world's largest city airport system measured by passenger traffic.[33] It is the world's leading investment destination,[34][35][36][37] hosting more international retailers[38][39] and ultra high-net-worth individuals[40][41] than any other city. London's universities form the largest concentration of higher education institutes in Europe. In 2012, London became the first city to have hosted the modern Summer Olympic Games three times.
London has a diverse range of people and cultures, and more than 300 languages are spoken in the region.[44] Its estimated mid-2016 municipal population (corresponding to Greater London) was 8,787,892, the largest of any city in the European Union and accounting for 13.4% of the UK population.[46] London's urban area is the second most populous in the EU, after Paris, with 9,787,426 inhabitants at the 2011 census. The city's metropolitan area is the most populous in the EU with 14,040,163 inhabitants in 2016,[note 4][3] while the Greater London Authority states the population of the city-region (covering a large part of the south east) as 22.7 million. London was the world's most populous city from around 1831 to 1925.
London contains four World Heritage Sites: the Tower of London; Kew Gardens; the site comprising the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey, and St Margaret's Church; and the historic settlement of Greenwich (in which the Royal Observatory, Greenwich defines the Prime Meridian, 0° longitude, and GMT). Other landmarks include Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square and The Shard. London is home to numerous museums, galleries, libraries, sporting events and other cultural institutions, including the British Museum, National Gallery, Natural History Museum, Tate Modern, British Library and West End theatres. The London Underground is the oldest underground railway network in the world.
Hope You Enjoyed It!
