Our visit Wrocław travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide, top sightseeing tourist attractions and the city by day including visiting castles, churches and museums. 10 Things to do in Wrocław, Poland Travel Guide
In today’s video we’re taking you around Wroclaw. This was the second stop of our month-long trip through Poland, and we liked it right from Day 1. Our visit to the city was spent wandering through the University Quarter, cruising down the Oder River, stumbling into a secret courtyard, and enjoying a tasty meal or two along the way. The following is our travel guide to some of the best things to do in Wroclaw, Poland:
The University Quarter is located in the north end of the Old Town and it’s worth visiting even if your days as a student are over. Here you’ll find the University of Wroclaw, which is one of the oldest academic institutions in Central Europe. The architecture is also stunning! I mean, could you imagine being a student here?
Since we couldn’t visit the interior of the university, we stopped by the university church, also known as the Parish of the Most Holy Name of Jesus. Admission is free of charge, though donations are welcome, and once you’re in, don’t forget to look up!
Continuing our random wanderings through Wroclaw, we reached the Ossolineum, which quickly piqued our curiosity. Once a hospital and convent, and later a college, today it houses one of the largest scientific libraries in Poland as well as the national archive. We visited the courtyard surrounded by mirrored windows and hydrangeas, and if felt like a secret garden.
Cathedral island is the oldest part of Wroclaw. It was formerly an island that sat between two branches of the Oder River, and while that’s no longer the case, it still has a cathedral.
With much better weather, we then followed the previous day’s path back to Cathedral Island. Along the way, we visited the Silver Arch, which is a pretty cool sculpture on one of the smaller islands, and then it was time for a river cruise.
Our next stop was Hala Targowa, or Market Hall. It’s a nice spot to hit up to get your daily supply of fresh fruits, deli meats, cheese and pastries, for a delicious yet affordable do-it-yourself meal.
And that’s a wrap for our visit to Wroclaw! As always, if you have any places to add to this list or any tips for fellow travellers share those below. Until next time and happy travels!

The MOST BEAUTIFUL city in Europe: Wrocław, Poland
#1 vlog from Wrocław:
#2 Vlog from Wrocław:
******Available in HD******
Hi, everybody!
This is the 3rd vlog from Wrocław in Poland!
Today I will take you for a walking tour in the Market Square first,
Let's take a moment to admire this amazing Old Town Hall (Ratusz), this architecture is nothing that I've seen before!
The details, the form... and the clock that shows us not only the time but also phases of the Moon!
What we need to know for sure is that in the Old Town Hall's cellars there is one of the oldest restaurants in Europe: Piwnica Świdnicka
and inside the building we'll find a Museum of Bourgeois art.
We'll see Aleksander Fredro's monument that was all ready to beat the Guinness Guitar Record on the coming weekend :)
There is a lot of stunning buildings there, but one took my breath away:
Kamienica pod Siedmioma Elektorami. OMG, look how beautiful it appears...
Walking around the Market Square we cannot skip the Fountain which is kinda controversial...
In the end I'll show you an amazing church: Katedra św. Marii Magdaleny we Wrocławiu.
Wrocłąw is the most beautiful city in Europe, I swear,
It's over 1000 years old, it's full of students, history, gothic architecture and it hosted Euro 2012 football championships.
Wrocław was also announced to be an European Capital of Culture as well as the World Book Capital.
The historic University of Wrocław produced 9 Nobel Prize winners since the beggining of 20th century!
Thank you very much for watching, don't forget to subscribe my channel and visit my social media!
Hope to see you next time,

The Raclawice Panorama, Wroclaw, Poland / Panorama Racławicka, Wrocław, Polska
The Racławice Panorama (Polish: Panorama racławicka) is a monumental (15 × 114 meter) cycloramic painting depicting the Battle of Racławice, during the Kościuszko Uprising. It is currently located in Wrocław, Poland. The painting is one of only a few preserved relics of a genre of 19th century mass culture, and the oldest in Poland. The panorama stands in a circular fashion and, with the viewer in the center, presents different scenes at various viewing angles. A special kind of perspective used in the painting and additional effects (lighting, artificial terrain) create a feeling of reality.( )
Panorama Racławicka -- muzeum sztuki we Wrocławiu, oddział Muzeum Narodowego we Wrocławiu, założone w 1893 we Lwowie, od 1980 we Wrocławiu; eksponuje cykloramiczny obraz Bitwa pod Racławicami namalowany w latach 1893--1894 pod kierunkiem Jana Styki i Wojciecha Kossaka. Obraz olejny przedstawia bitwę pod Racławicami (1794), jeden z epizodów insurekcji kościuszkowskiej, zwycięstwo wojsk polskich pod dowództwem gen. Tadeusza Kościuszki nad wojskami rosyjskimi pod dowództwem gen. Aleksandra Tormasowa.( )

Trams in Wrocław Poland, Part I (Tramwaje we Wrocławiu)
This is the first episode of a series featuring the tram system of Wrocław in Poland.
Wrocław is the 4th largest city of Poland. Its extensive tram network has a track length of 84km which is served by 20 lines, resulting in a total of 250km line length. It is quite dense. Around the downtown area, there are tram tracks almost everywhere, and they reach quite far into the outskirts on some lines.
The majority of the fleet consists of Konstal 105Na vehicles and their modernized pendants Konstal Protram 105NWr. However, there are also some low floor vehicles, namely Protram WrAs 204 and 205, and also some newer Škoda 16T and 19T articulated trams.
The first part of this series focuses on the downtown area. The film starts at Galeria Dominikańska, which is a quite busy intersection. We then head north toward Hala Targowa, where there are some nice bridges over the Odra river. The film then shows several scenes around Rynek (a quite busy station) and the single-track line that runs through the city centre, before we go to Plac Bema (another busy intersection). We then follow the tracks toward Plac Grunwaldzki (yet another busy intersection), where the first part concludes.
Index to the film:
00:00 – Galeria Dominikańska
01:20 – Plac Nowy Targ
02:01 – Hala Targowa
02:36 – Most Piaskowy
03:43 – Most Pomorski

Places featured in the video:
University of Wroclaw:
The University of Wrocław is a public research university located in Wrocław, Poland. The University of Wrocław was founded in 1945, replacing the previous German University of Breslau.
The Maths Tower
The Maths Tower is located in the main building of the University of Wrocław. Its rooms currently serve as exposition halls of the Museum of the University of Wrocław, and the terrace may be used to admire the beautiful city panorama. The relatively low level of the terrace (ca. 42 m) allows for an easy identification of all visible objects, which include church towers and contemporary skyscrapers. The entrance tickets are sold until 30 minutes before the closure of the terrace.
Old Town Wroclaw:
Wroclaw's Old Town is not only its historical centre but also today's social and cultural centre. Here you will find, not only the city's most splendid architecture but also its best shops, restaurants, bars, galleries and museums.
The very epicentre and life hub of the Old Town is of course the Main Market Square, or 'Rynek'. This amazing space was painstakingly reconstructed after WW2 to recall the Baroque splendour of its heyday. Here the good citizens of Wroclaw gather to eat, shop, drink, dance and generally mill about. More than one tourist has never make it past this pleasure spot, such is its allure
The Market Square, Wrocław:
The Market Square, Wrocław is a medieval market square in Wrocław, now the heart of a pedestrian zone. The square is rectangular with the dimensions 213 by 178 metres.
Vinyl Cafe, Wroclaw:
This groovy little cafe is an obvious labour of love, and old school audiophiles will literally feel right at home with the living room arrangement around the hi-fi record player. Full of cosy armchairs, crates of vinyl LPs and shelves of books, come in, pick out a 45, curl up with a coffee or beer and a book and you've got yourself the perfect afternoon.
Kontynuacja Wroclaw:
A great beer with an amazing, and unique choice of craft beers, cool ambience and very friendly staff

Aneta Ziółkowska invites us to the City Museum of Wroclaw. With Paulina Otterstein
Wrocław a city in western Poland and the largest city in the historical region of Silesia. It lies on the banks of the River Odra in the Silesian Lowlands of Central Europe, roughly 350 kilometres from Warsaw and the Baltic Sea. The population of Wrocław is about 650,000 making it the fourth-largest city in Poland.
The history of the city dates back over a thousand years, and its extensive heritage combines almost all religions and cultures of Europe. At various times, it has been part of the Kingdom of Poland, Kingdom of Bohemia, Kingdom of Hungary, Habsburg Monarchy, Prussia and Germany. Wrocław became part of Poland again in 1945, as a result of the border changes after the Second World War, which included a nearly complete exchange of population.
