SUMMARY
=======
Angeles, officially the City of Angeles (Kapampangan: Lakanbalen ning Angeles; Filipino: Lungsod ng Angeles), or simply referred to as Angeles City, is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the region of Central Luzon, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 411,634 people. It is bordered by Mabalacat to the north; Mexico to the east; San Fernando to the southeast; Bacolor to the south; and Porac to the southwest and west. Though the city administers itself autonomously from Pampanga, it is the province's commercial and financial hub.
Angeles is served by the Clark International Airport in Clark Freeport Zone. Being home of the former Clark Air Base (once the largest United States military facility outside the continental United States), it was significantly affected by the fallout from the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991. The economy of Angeles was heavily dependent on the American base at that time.In 1993, a full cleanup and removal of volcanic ash deposits began and the former U.S. base was transformed into the Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ). The creation of CSEZ has helped to offset the loss of income and jobs previously generated by the presence of the U.S. base in the city. Today, Angeles and Clark form the hub for business, industry, aviation, and tourism in the Philippines as well as a leisure, fitness, entertainment and gaming center of Central Luzon.Angeles ranked 15th in a survey by MoneySense magazine as one of the Best Places to Live in the Philippines in its March–April 2008 issue.Angeles is 83 kilometres (52 mi) from Manila and 17 kilometres (11 mi) from the provincial capital, San Fernando.

PHILIPPINES: ALL SAINT'S DAY CELEBRATIONS
Tagalog/Nat
Fiercely religious Philippinos are flocking to cemeteries to celebrate All Souls Day, and pay respects to their dearly departed.
In Pampanga, one of the provinces heavily affected by mud flows, families offer flowers and prayers to their loved ones even though the tombs are buried underneath thick mud and water.
The thick and soft mud prevents people from driving their cars in Bacolor Pampanga, so, they travel to cemeteries by foot on All Souls Day, a day when the nation pays respects to the dead.
For many who live here, the visit is not an easy one.
Pampanga province has been heavily affected by mud flows since the eruption of the Mount Pinatubo volcano in 1991.
Each time it rains, tonnes of ash deposited along its slopes flows down, burying whatever lies in its path.
This town is covered by mud, as is it's cemetery.
These visitors must dig through the mud to find their relatives' tombs. Those who are unable to dig, light candles and hope that they have put them on the right spot.
SOUNDBITE (Tagalog):
This is for them, I cannot really be sure if this is the place where their graves are, but it can't be far from here because the chapel of the Holy Spirit is there, and I know their tombs are near that. This is really for them. I know my mother-in-law is in the area, so I put a candle there as well. This is not the exact spot I know.
SUPERCAPTION: Pedro Rivera
The tradition lives on despite the long walk through the muddy ground.
In another cemetery, flood waters force people to take wooden boats to the tombs.
SOUNDBITE (Tagalog):
I'm here because it is All Souls Day. The water around here is caused by mud flow here in Bacolor, The water came here , there is no other way for the flow of the water, so it's all here in the cemetery, so now water is everywhere, and almost all the cemeteries are in the same situation, people have to use boats.

But despite the difficulties, residents try and keep up their spirits on this holy day in order to visit their departed loved ones.

Restaurant in Clark Philippines serves 1970 Diez Vintage Port Wine from Yats
Leading wine supplier in Manila Philippines Yats Wine Cellars is generally regarded by Asian and Philippines wine lovers as the best wine shop in the Philippines. Their Wine Shop in Clark Philippines offers 2700 vintage wines from all major wine regions in the world.
Wine lovers from Japan, Korea, Hong kong, Thailand and Indonesia travel to Philippines Clark Freeport to purchase these limited rare bottles of fine vintage wine from Yats Wine Cellars' wine shop.
Pampanga Philippines is a fast growing province. Growth in major cities such as San Fernando, Angeles City and Clark Freeport Zone has given rise to a strong demand for luxury goods, upscale dining and quality living. Absence of a good wine shop for fine vintage wine has caused considerable inconvenience to the affluent community which is forced to drive down to Manila to purchase their wines.
All that has now changed when Yats opens one of the largest wine shops in the Philippines inside Pampanga Clark Freeport Zone next to Angeles City. The wine shop is called Clark Wine Center and it is located near the main entrance of Clark Philippines.
This wine shop of Yats Wine Cellars started off in Clark Freeport, Pampanga, an easy 90-minute drive along the North Expressway from Metro Manila. Rare vintage wines can be found in the cellars of the fine-dining YATS Restaurant and Wine Lounge situated inside Clark's Mimosa Leisure Estate, just before the Casino. Yats also operates the Clark Wine Center -- an independent two-storey wine shop located on the main road of Pampanga Clark Freeport.
Public wine tastings are held from time to time in Clark and sometimes in Manila. Tickets range from p500 to p1500 for these themed events that are professionally run --no wine merchants sponsorship, pushy salesmen or tacky banners to ruin the evening. Each ticket contains a certain number of stubs that can be redeemed for a tasting pour of a wine among those on a line-up which often contains wines that are quite old and expensive. This makes YATS Wine Tasting events the most cost-effective venue to explore new options and expand our knowledge of wine through first-hand encounters.
Wine Seminars have been conducted in the past and may be offered from time to time. These seminars deal with intermediate to advanced subject matters that are aimed at providing useful and practical knowledge for the wine enthusiasts. Topics are focused and treatment, in depth. Most wine seminars include a guided tasting session after the lecture.
Wine-paired dinners are organized either at Y A T S Restaurant in Clark or in collaboration with other restaurants and organizers. Private wine dinners can also be organized for groups of 14 or more. Even Asian cuisines can be a part of a Yats Wine-paired dinner.
Sister company Y A T S Restaurant and Wine Lounge is one of most wine-sensitive fine-dining establishments in Asia. B Y O (Bring Your Own) Wine evenings occur regularly for wine enthusiasts to enjoy their recent finds over a gourmet meal specially crafted to be wine friendly. The wine list of Yats Restaurant is equally impressive and satisfying to the hard-to-please. Mark-up is small and that makes it the friendliest wine restaurant in Asia.
