CARELESS LOVE tells the story of Linh (Nammi Le), a Vietnamese Australian university student who secretly starts part-time work as an escort. She develops a close rapport with one of her clients, an enigmatic American art dealer (Peter O'Brien), who books her on a regular basis. For a time she manages to keep her two lives in separate compartments. But when she falls for a fellow student (Andrew Hazzard) her worlds collide and things get complicated.

2017 Jewish International Film Festival

This year, the Jiff 2017 line-up includes 65 films from 26 countries, including Israel, France, Australia and the Yiddish-speaking neighbourhoods of Brooklyn. The stories reach far into history and deep into human experience to celebrate the remarkable diversity of Jewish culture and storytelling.

The festival is running in Melbourne from 22nd October to 22nd November, with screenings at the Classic Cinema in Elsternwick and the Lido Cinema in Hawthorn.

The event was hosted by the Australian Friends of Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Zionism Victoria with Dr Rolene Lamm, Eitan Drori and Sharene Hambur hosting a capacity crowd. As well, Anat Sultan-Dadon, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Israeli Embassy spoke. The End Music is by Miriam Lieberman, with Lara Goodrich, Liz Frencham and Agustian Supriatna performing at her Full Circle Album Launch at the Caravan Club in Melbourne.
