Hawaiian Paradise in Hawaii
My family and I took a great trip to the beautiful islands of Kauai, Hawaii, and Maui, Hawaii.
Kauai is the oldest island of all of the Hawaiian islands. Chickens are everywhere due to a 1991 earthquake that scattered them all over the island. Kauai is also the wettest spot on the planet, considering it rains there for about a minute or two every hour or so. Real quick rains. Several movies were filmed there, such as Jurassic Park. I actually got to see the spot part of Jurassic Park was filmed. Also, Gilligan's Island was filmed there and MANY famous movies. Also, many celebrities live there. My family and I passed by Will Smith's house, right off the coast. This is the island with the quiet places to kick back and relax. It's very relaxing. I didn't get any footage of Kauai, because I didn't think about making a YouTube video for this at the time. We stayed in Kauai for 2 1/2 days.
Maui is the party spot of the island. Several celebrities live there and several films were and are produced there too. We stayed in Maui for 7 days. We got to see a luau at a place nearby our resort within our timeshare, Starwood. It was really neat and fascinating. We also hung out by the beach at our resort/villas, the Westin Ka'anapali Villas. We also went on a 12 hour trip (300 miles)- from 6:45 A.M.- 6:30 P.M. called the Road to Hana. We went through rugged terrain, and right on cliff edges. It was neat, and our tour guide knew A LOT about Hawaii. He actually became a tour guide because of a vacation his family and he took. He thought Hawaii was so beautiful in the 1980's, and he's stayed there ever since! We got to see a beach with black sand, amazing waterfalls, caves, mountains, and much, much more! M family and I also went to a Hawaiian show with Hawaiian music that explains the history of Hawaii and the gods and goddesses of Hawaii. Very interesting show, and afterwards, I got to meet the cast and ask them questions. Awesomeness! The water in Maui is so clear, and the sunsets and the most beautiful sunsets ever. Full-bloooded Hawaiians are truly the nicest, most calm people ever. Aloha is a word they use a lot, which has several meanings, so say it with warmth and love. It means hello, goodbye, love, and compassion, and when you say aloha, you're literary giving the breath of life. Mahalo means thank you. The humu humu nuku nuku apua'a is the state fish, meaning a noisy fish that snorts like a pig. Hawaii's state bird is the nene goose. Ohio (where I live) is six hours ahead of Hawaii, so it takes a while to adjust to Hawaiian time.

White Road Hike/Waterslide [Waimea, Hawaii]
White Road ~ One of the prettiest hikes on the island . Beautiful scenery whether it's clear or misty . Plus the waterslide at the end is a nice bonus . Definitely recommended . But do keep in mind that this hike is off limits , unless granted permission , and that like any other hike its got its dangers and cautions . Do your research and properly prepare before attempting . You've been warned . Oh , and a tube or body board wouldn't be a bad idea either (;

A kayak fisherman died Monday after a shark attack off Maui, Hawaii officials said. Police identifie
A kayak fisherman died Monday after a shark attack off Maui, local officials said.
Maui County Ocean Safety officials received a report that a shark attacked a man fishing in a kayak between Maui and Molokini, a small island less than 3 miles off the southwest coast of Maui that's popular for diving and snorkeling.
Maui County police identified the man as Patrick Briney, 57, of Stevenson, Wash.
The shark bit his dangling foot while he fished with artificial lures to attract baitfish, a news release from the state Department of Land and Natural Resources said.
His fishing partner in another kayak tied a tourniquet on the man and sought help from a nearby charter tour boat. The boat took them to shore, and the man was then taken to a hospital, the state said.
The kind of shark involved was not immediately available.
Though the attack happened far from shore, the state advised the public to stay out of the water a mile north and a mile south of Makena State Recreation Area in southwest Maui.
There have been eight shark attacks near Maui this year and 13 statewide. On Friday, a woman suffered nonfatal injuries in a Maui attack.
Over the last 20 years, Hawaii has averaged about four unprovoked shark incidents per year, the state said.
In August, a German tourist died a week after losing her arm in a shark attack. Jana Lutteropp, 20, was snorkeling up to 100 yards off a beach in southwest Maui when the shark bit off her right arm.

Hawaii's Kailua Beach tops 2019 'best beach' list
(23 May 2019) FOR CLEAN VERSION SEE STORY NUMBER: apus117454
In Kailua the sand is soft and white, the water is clear and calm, and the view is exactly what you might expect from a beach in the Hawaiian Islands.
Those are among the reasons Oahu's Kailua Beach Park has been selected as the best stretch of sand for an annual list of top U.S. beaches.
Stephen Leatherman, a coastal scientist and professor at Florida International University, has been drafting the list under the alias Dr. Beach since 1991.
Leatherman uses 50 criteria to evaluate beaches, with the most important categories being water cleanliness, safety and management of the beach environment and its facilities.
Leatherman uses data from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to grade the beaches on water quality and has been to all the beaches on his list.
Beaches in Hawaii are consistently ranked high, or at the very top, of his list.
In recent years Leatherman has been giving extra credit to beaches that prohibit smoking, which all Oahu beaches do, and thinks other beaches around the state and country should follow suit.
Leatherman also looks for powdery soft white sand, something Kailua Beach Park has in abundance.
Vari Singh and her family were visiting Oahu from Los Angeles last week and spent a day in Kailua.
The color of the sea is something like we've never seen before. The sand is super soft and fun to play with, it makes good sand castles, she said as her daughter wiped sand from her face.
Braden Marquez, 18, who grew up in Kailua and was at the beach last week, says he is worried about overcrowding, but is also hopeful for the future of his hometown.
This beach is pretty special to me just because my family has been coming here for years and years, he said.
For the first 25 years of ranking, any beach that won the top spot on Leatherman's list was retired and became ineligible for inclusion in subsequent years.
But in 2015, Dr. Beach cleared the slate to allow any beach in the nation to once again be eligible, resetting the clock, and perhaps the relevance, on his annual contest.
Kailua was named the best beach in 1998, making it a two-time winner.
Leatherman is again retiring new winners and posting them on his website.
Leatherman's goal in producing the list each year, he says, is to reward high quality, safe beaches that balance nature with accessibility and amenities.
He hopes beaches that haven't made his list will make changes for both a better experience and a healthier coastal ecosystem.

Snorkel Trip to Lanai
When visiting Maui on vacation it's easy to take a day to explore neighboring islands. We did just that on a snorkel trip to Lanai. The boat ride alone is fun and exciting but it was the clear serene snorkeling waters that made this trip amazing. Spinner dolphins frequent the waters off Lanai and our guides were sure to help us spot them. One this day trip we also had three hours to explore Lanai's Manele Bay where you can enjoy a pristine sandy beach perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun, snorkeling, and hiking.

New Brunswick
New Brunswick (French: Nouveau-Brunswick; pronounced: [nu.vo.bʁœn.swik], Quebec French pronunciation: [nu.vo.bʁɔn.zwɪk] ( )) is one of Canada's three Maritime provinces and is the only province in the Canadian federation that is constitutionally bilingual (English–French). It was created as a result of the partitioning of the British Colony of Nova Scotia in 1784. Fredericton is the capital and Saint John is the most populous city. Greater Moncton (Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview) forms the province's largest census metropolitan area. In the 2011 nation wide census, Statistics Canada estimated the provincial population to have been 751,171. The majority of the population is English-speaking, but there is also a large Francophone minority (33%), chiefly of Acadian origin.
